Look out for Eastern
Feelers have been put out to entice our former boys coach to come home and coach the girls. If this happens, we OWN the TVC in both divisions with the talent we have returning.
Don't worry.....I hate Belpre.

I think Waterford might have a say in that.Eastern EaglePapaw wrote:Feelers have been put out to entice our former boys coach to come home and coach the girls. If this happens, we OWN the TVC in both divisions with the talent we have returning.

They won't have much to say. Our coaching would be way better.

Howie had no problem out coaching sims but Close is all together a different story
Re: Look out for Eastern
I find it very interesting that there aren't many applicants for the Eastern job!?! Only three applicants...two have no varsity experience and the other has jumped around so many times that I bet his resume looks like a rap sheet. Does anybody close to the situation know what's going on? Many voices on the outside say lack of interest is due to the parents...any truth? I believe that these girls can make another strong run at the State Tournament. I cannot figure out why a good, quality coach would not want to go along for that ride.

Young guy. 22 I believe. Stepping in to a great program with a lot of support. A lot of pressure on the young man. I think he'll be just fine. Will definitely be a learning curve. Was the guy I wanted to see get the job.

Eastern had a solid group of 7th graders last year, will be 8th graders this winter.. I feel this young coach may know what is coming in that program. Will they be as solid as the group that went to state eventually...? As far as depth goes, I definitely think so. BUT, I have a sneaky feeling Federal Hocking will surprise everyone in the next few years, not so much this year, but they have a solid group in jr high level.

Eastern would be good if one of the best players parents would actually let her get healthy! It takes a long time to heal from an ACL tear. Even longer for a second one . Having her play in 3 months is ridiculous!
