Ashland wins.. Hopefully I'm wrong though. Burg needs the second level points.

Re: Week 4: (1-2) Ashland KY @ (1-2) Ironton
The records don't matter in this game. It comes down to who wants it more. The Tigers can win it but they have to work hard to get that win. The Tomcats are not going to hand it to them.
Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.

Ironton has this one or at least they should it's on their field and it's time to protect their house.
Re: Week 4: (1-2) Ashland KY @ (1-2) Ironton
Desperately?? Do you know anything about points? Burg shouldn't lose a regular season game so saying your are desperate for points is a joke , you post this same thing on every single thread if the teams you beat just to gloat about beating them get over your self.Mad-Dogg wrote:Hopefully the tigers pull it out. What year did you play footbal at burg? I think I know you
Re: WK4 (1-2) Ashland KY @ (1-2) Ironton
This game could go either way but I believe the Tigers win by 10. Tigers are improving.

The one thing that have noticed about Ironton offensive line, they come out and hit you but they don't finish. They stand around to much especially back side. The line needs to get in the push pile and stay engaged. With a back like 24 just knocking someone off him could cause a big run. By the way do away with the chicken wing blocking style that allows your defensive line to get the upper hand on the offense.

Agree on the line blocking comments OSU77. They got to get it done for the Tigers to click. Also need more effort on blocking out of the fullback. He has to be a hammer on iso blocks on linebackers and ends for the T formation to work. He seems to have the tools but needs to show more physicality in that role.
Have been impressed with #40 so far for a year one varsity kid. He has shown the most long term potential. All the backs need to run with his aggressiveness. He needs more touches.

Pulling for my Tigers.
If it comes down to coaching, though, Ironton is screwed.

Back up home slice. I know we don't NEED the points, however it would be nice to see some of our opponents win.dontreply wrote:Desperately?? Do you know anything about points? Both Wilson and #40 Duncan are Sophomores, they'll be just fine the next couple of years.

I think Ashland will find it hard to get into the end zone this week. Ironton wins 14-7.
