Better play last night from the young Chiefs! Still has issues with Special teams but they can be solve and the offense is not consistent form down to down and should improve over the next few weeks!

Hey genius are you comparing Meigs to Dublin Jerome and Teays Valley? LOL and that's why nobody takes anything you say seriously.

Well, you gotta throw in the fact that Logan is getting better each game as well. Logan even had a senior out I believe on suspension last night. Some of Logan's play calling could have been better as well. Meigs has a pretty good football team, no doubt about it. Hats off to Meigs imo.

Still trying to figure out how this is the best meigs team in years? Beat a bad gallia team, lose to an avg amanda clearcreek, go the the wire against an inexperienced logan. What am i missing? Im not saying they aren't good but why the disrespect to the teams in recent memory? I thought last years team was pretty talented!?

And that's the bottom line, b/c Stone Cold said so....

I agree, I don't think this is one of Meigs best teams,Amanda got their doors blown off last night so the Aces are not that good, but I do believe Meigs still could compete for the TVC title,Congrats on the hard fought win Meigs!

Our current Football at Meigs Seniors down to Freshmen probably have a total of 4 or 5 losses combined in the 8 years they played at jr. high level. I want to think that every year as 7th graders they were undefeated. I think Seniors lost 1 or 2 games in 8th Grade and Juniors lost 2 or 3 their 8th grade year (One of the main players didn't play this season because of grades the previous year...he was the QB) Don't think the Sophomore Class or Freshmen classes had a loss at the Jr. High level.

So if we are going of the way they were in Jr. High....Meigs should be unstoppable. And we haven't proven that yet this season....Too many times at the Jr. High level several kids progress and grow and become beasts before other kids and it shows, but then in high school, all the other kids catch up and it becomes more competitive. See that happen in all sports. Little john doe is the only 6' 250lbs in 7th grade, but then in high school everyone around him is that size and no more dominating.
The current Athens freshman beat Meigs both years in Jr. High. And I think NY beat them at least one of those years. Not that it means much anymore. And I believe the Meigs sophomore group had their 8th grade year canceled due to some hazing incident(s).
And I agree w Doubleplay 100%. There was a huge difference for Logan's current freshman between their 7th and 8th grade years. Much, much, much more physical!
I'll go with Meigs tonight 24-14.
Current Freshmen only won 2 games as 7th graders.

Meigs was at full strength and dominated in the first half when we had all our starters in...Had Hood go down and Bartrum both go down before halftime. Hood was out the whole 2nd half Bartrum was out for 2 touchdowns, However he was in during the play action pass for a TD. You take 2 Seniors one off the line and another off at linebacker and it hurts your team.

No we aren't tearing it up right now, A win is a win, and even better when you can get one with one player out and another one hobbling on one foot!!!

Yeah I said I thought they were maybe the best team (meaning this group of kids) since mid to late 90's. Its my opinion but didnt know id have to give a detailed analysis every week they play, dont be salty cause I disagree with you. They didn't lose a ton from last year, they have good talent, catching some normally strong teams down, and thought they could maybe go 9-1. No disrespect to teams of the past but if they feel that way maybe they shouldn't be on here. Since you brought up last year's team what difference do you see in the two? They beat a bad gallia team, beat an average amanda, and got beat by a down logan team. What am I missing cause it sounds about the same.

When you say Meigs is no good cause their defense wasn't as good as the D1 teams that shut Logan out, it made it sound like you were comparing and I'm the idiot. Maybe you need to get back to your Saturday morning cartoons ironman

Bird Dog- is obviously very optimistic about this group and that is great! Everyone SHOULD think they are the best and they can beat anybody! At first I took it as an insult to all of the other teams and thought it was outrageous, however, I am glad he and others are behind these young men and believe in them! Who cares how a bunch of 40-20 year olds feel about their glory days?! lol Let's get behind the CURRENT TEAM!

Logan isn't bad. DJ is loaded. Teays valley only lost to Chillicothe 12-10.
