I've watched some of the Sheridan game. The Scotties front 7 is big and mobile, they do a great job of getting to the football and making plays.
West is definitely the best quarterback we will have seen. He's most similar to Porter I think, but is faster and throws the ball a lot better. Plus, their offense is tougher to defend because the spread the field out better than Portsmouth did.
They will be a tough task, but I think this Logan defense has the ability to rise to the occasion.

This thing keeps coming up, so I thought I would set the record somewhat straight (our stats).
Gait vs. Logan -- 19 carries, 76 yards. 2 catches, 69 yards, TD.
It should be noted, however, that Bryan was also somewhat negated by at least three turnovers that game that "limited" his touches, and also that I think Logan had an overwhelming advantage in time of possession. No excuses, but a couple of factors.
Only LV held him to fewer yards (49 on 11 carries in the season opener).
As for this particular game -- Tri-Valley is better than Portsmouth. They do have talent. My concern for them would be the condition of the Sauer turf. I know it can get a little -- shall we say -- SQUISHY?
Should be a good game. If only I didn't have to go to Columbus ....

ahh. I dont even go over there anymore. A lot of very cruel and bitter people with thin skin.
I will speak as an MVL fan and a New Lex fan. Also a fan of SEOH Football overall. I deeply respect Logan and the SEOAL. We played you guys for years, so I know that Logan football is a lot like New Lex football. Great tradition. A football town.
I will pull for Tri Valley because they are in the MVL. But I do like Logan.
no thin skin here. we listen the the ironton faithful for the last 2 years dogging us. and they've lost the last 2 meetings
LOL.
Back to the game,
I really like this matchup. MVL vs SEOAL. I might just show up and watch the final game at Bill Sauer Field. I have good memories of that place. Even though you always seemed to have our number there. It is a great atmosphere.
The game sure has the potential to be a classic. Evenly matched teams with different styles.
