Anyone have the complete GAHS schedule for 2008?

Here's what I have:
8/22 - AT Athens
8/29 - VS Point Pleasant
9/5 - AT Ironton *
9/12 - AT Logan
9/19 - VS Jackson *
9/26 - VS Portsmouth *
10/3 - AT Chillicothe *
10/10 - VS Wellston
10/17 - AT Zanesville *
10/24 - VS Marietta *

I think this is complete now?

August 29th is the Point Pleasant game and it is at Gallia Academy.

The series looks like it will be going on a one year hiatus in 2009 because of scheduling problems. The Ohio and West Virginia calanders change in 2009 and the date that Gallia has available is a contracted conference game for Point.

I think it would be a huge mistake for the GA vs Point rivary to end. Hope the schedule gets worked out for the future.

It's just a situation that can not be fixed. Gallia's non-conference games are always at the beginning of the schedule (which I like that A LOT better) and Point's non-conference games are spread throughout the schedule.

Gallia has what, 3 non-conference openings? The early weeks of the Point '09 season included the second year of the contract with South Point, who we play this year at Point, which we were very lucky that we scheduled them when we did because we had a horrible time filling out our schedule for next year. Two teams in our conference (Winfield, Logan WV) went AAA, leaving two openings. Our two openings didn't match anyone in the state within a somewhat reasonable distance, so we had to schedule Tug Valley, WV who moved up to our division and Midland Trail, a single A team who we are playing in Charleston at Laidley Field. Anyways though, our early schedule in '09 includes South Point, Sissonville (contracted conference game), return game witih Tug Valley at home. The only date that is open is 09/11/09 and I don't know what non-conference game Gallia has, but it would be their third non-conference game.

It'll get worked out just doesn't look like it will for 2009.

Playing across state lines can cause problems when the starting dates do not match up like this year. Ohio starts playing game Aug. 22 where as West Virginia starts games on Aug. 29. West Virginia also has 11 weeks to play 10 games, so West Virginia schools have a lot more room to work than Ohio schools do.

I hope the Point-Gallia Academy game can be worked out for the future.

Our South Point and Tug Valley contracts will be up by then so, unless Gallia ties into three contracts by then, I would hope we'll be good to go again.

Oh..yeah, and we are no longer the Big Blacks.
