0-3? YOU WISH!!!

im sick and tired of you thinking your better than everyone.

last time i saw logan was losing to tri-valley.finaly...you can tear down that
pice of junk stadium of yours.

as a former cavalier player i can say that i beat logan in that 62-28 thumping at your house.

you have to come to chillitown and play us and will see who is the true kings of the SEOAL.

but 0-3 not a chance the cavs will have at least an 9-1 or do i dare say it 10-0.

anyway im ready for basketball how about you?

lol....atta boy...like 2old said save it for your grandkids...if u wanna play that game i took part in a 48-18 thumping last year in our piece of junk stadium...

86cavs,

Like Gahs4ever said, just ignore them. When they come on here from Logan and start talking like fools and we respond then those that do, just feed them for more. If we don't reply to there garbage, and stick to the threads topic, eventually they will go away. You are correct 86cavs, a lot of them probably never played football. I know a few of them did not. What a joke :!: :-D

It's like someone from that dreaded purple town cutting down our Service-Men and Veterans on here but they never served a day themselves. They somehow avioded the draft for Vietnam.

Now back to the topic, what do you think about our chances against Brookhaven and Big Walnut next year :?:

I noticed Big Walnut is still in the D3 Playoffs right now.

I like our our SEOAL home schedule. At least we have the tuff games at home with Gallipolis, Ironton and especially Logan :!:

What do you see us going next year :?:

GO CAVS :!:

86cavs,
What do you think about our CAV Team next season :?:

I really like there chances, especially with the schedule the way it is set up for us. Except having to travel again back up to Zanesville. :-D

I think we can win at Jackson next year as well at Portsmouth if we play to potential. I really like the fact we are playing Logan the last game of the season at home. We have as stated earlier Sheridan, Gallipolis, Ironton, Warren Local and Logan at home. Our away games will be difficult at Brookhaven and Big Walnut. The two challenges away will be at Zanesville and Portsmouth. I think we have a greater chance for victory at the away game at Jackson. :-D

I hope in the future our AD gets us some SCOL, MSL or SOC II Teams to play against for non-league games so we can drop the Columbus teams off our schedule. Don't you :?:

GO CAVS :!:

Army yes Big Walnut is still in the playoffs and they have a very good team, probably the best team we played all year. with that said they have a very senior dominated team. so we'll see what they have next year. sheridan is a team that i'm not so sure about. i've never seen them play and don't know much about them. brookhaven should be a good game, although you never know what kind of team they will have at the beginning of the year.

the team should be good next year with lots of experience returning to the field. caleb and the receivers should have a big year next year. i think that the strength of the team next year will both the o-line and d-line. both return just about everybody and should dominate next year. i know that hilltop is hoping that is the case, as the d-linemen are the ones who get all the press and the girls, right coach

but for now it's time for these kids to get into the weight room and get bigger and stronger for next season.

You know it. I had to knock the ladies off of me with a stick back in the day. You're right though the line SHOULD be good on both sides. Potantial is just that. I have the potential to be 240lbs., but w/out a lot of hard work, it is still just potential. I don't think they'll let us down though.

Brookhaven will be tough. Sheridan loses a lot. They have a very big, talented senior class, I hear. Big nut loses a boatload of talent, but they have a good program and a ever-growing population. That area of outer-Columbus is the next one to expand like Pick-town, New Albany and Dublin already have. you see how their programs have flourished.I look for them to be good every year.
The worst part about our schedule is the beginning(regardless of what Logan thinks). 4/5 games on the road. We SHOULD have some very good leadership, so hopefully that will make a difference. They've seen what it takes to win and they've also felt what it's like to underachieve(or at least not do as well as we had planned). This should provide some internal motivation for every one of these players to bust their butt in the off-season.
I think we'll surprise some people, especially our #1 fan, Paladin :-D We'll make a believer out of him yet.
As for Army's question-Yes, I think it would be wise to get rid of Big Walnut and Brookhaven ASAP.Maybe try to pick up Circleville, Teays Valley, maybe even Courthouse or Trace. I know Wilmington is on the schedule in 09.

hilltop -- I know you want to win, but you got to play someone GOOD to improve & get better. Don't play those patsies from the SCOL. That would be embarassing for y'all.

Your fall from grace would be complete -- from tough OCC FB to sissy FB.

Hilltop,

I think it's a great idea if we start playing Washington C.H. Miami- Trace D4 again or Washington C.H. D3 from the SCOL. We used to play both teams in non-league play all the time. Both schools are very close to the City of Chillicothe and have a history of playing us in several sports.

I do like the notion to pick up Ashville Teays Valley D2 from the MSL (Buckeye Division). I don't know if we have played them in Football before?

I think Circleville D3 would be another great game too from the MSL (Buckeye Division). We use to play them all the time in several sports and have a history playing the Tigers. Another choice would be Waverly D4 from the SOC II.

Wilmington D3 from the (Fort Ancient Valley Conference) in 2009 :?:

Great :!: :-D

We have a vast history of playing against the Wilmington Hurricane. Especially in our old SCOL days. I think we played Wilmington D3 in the 80's and early 90's. I am not sure though. I know they use to be orignial members of the SCOL before it disbanded the first time with, Circleville, Wilmington, Hillsboro, Washington C.H., Washington C.H. Miami Trace, London and London Madison Plains. I don't know much about there program today, but they were down in the 90's or early 2000's. If memory serves me right, I think the Vinton County Vikings played them in a 2 year series in the late 90's or early 2000 and beat them in Football. I know they are in the (Fort Ancient Valley Conference). :-D

I am glad to see Coach D got them on the schedule. Who will Wilmington replace, Brookhaven from the CCL :?:

If so, all we have to do is find a replacement for Big Walnut D3 from the OCC (Capital Division) with the likes of a;

Washington C.H Miami Trace D4, Hillsboro D4, London D4 and Washington C.H. D3, Greenfield McClain D3 from the SCOL. :-D

Or a Circleville D3, Circleville Logan Elm D3, Ashville Teays Valley D2, Canal Winchester D2, Columbus Hamilton Twp D1, Bremen Fairfield Union D3 from the MSL (Buckeye Division). :-D

Or a Bexely D3 MSL (Ohio Division) or Whitehall-Yearling D3....our old foe from the OCC Days in the Capital Division, now in the MSL (Ohio Division) :-D

Or a Xenia D1 or Springfield South D1 team. :-D

Or Waverly D4, Wheelersburg D5 from the SOC II. :-D

Or out of state schools like Ashalnd, KY (Paul Blazer) AAAA, Huntington, WV AAA or Parkersburg South, WV AAA. :-D

All great choices to look at in the future for non-league games.

Paladin,

I think our CAVS will do just fine if we drop the Columbus Schools and pick up a MSL, SCOL or SOC II school. I don't see it down grading our progarm or taking a step down for our kids and the CAV program. Sorry I have to disagree with you on that one. :-D

4ever, the situation @ Logan this year was very unique, having run roughshod over the SEOAL, losing to Lancaster, and having a fairly competitive game with Pick. North. So, to be somewhat rhetorical, which games prepared them better for week 11 and beyond? I have never been a believer that winning 65-12 or whatever, benefits anyone. At the same time, it is certainly not Logan's fault. Maybe the league was that "down" this past year? The number of playoff qualifiers would seem to indicate that. As far as scheduling "up"... here's a question: which team are you more likely to face in week 11, and beyond? A- a team that is one or two Divisions smaller than you, in which you hammered 66-10, or B- a school your size, or even larger if you are a D-II or smaller in Ohio, that you are fairly sure will win 6+ football games and be fairly similar to those schools who will make it to week 11? Simply winning football games will hardly ever be a problem for Logan. But winning beyond week 11 usually requires preparation beyond your normal league schedule, sometimes the stars align, sometimes they don't. I believe Chilly has an "appropriate" non-league schedule based on their playoff Division and league. Does it mean they get in every year, heck no. But, if they do, the fact they've seen the 'Havens and Big Walnuts of the world will have acclimated them to anything that Region 12 could throw at them. At that point, it is just a matter of playing well. As you have alluded to, a team is talented (or not) regardless of their schedule. But having that talent "tested" before week 11 can usually be an indicator of how far one may advance. There are valid points to both sides, but look around the state this week and the remaining teams are both: very talented, and have (with a few exceptions) been tested by stiff competition throughout the year.

It is good to see that even on Thanksgiving Chieftain is alive and well. First of all a bunch of NON Chieftains commenting on Logan on a non logan thread. And you guys complain that Logan "hijacks your threads" mAll of you are so deadly jealous of Logan it is amazing you remeber which team you support. But of course if you read Gahs and Army enough you realize they support anyone who might give Logan a game.

Logan's playoff record is what it is. I suggested that you all improve to help Logan show better in the state. If the league was better Logan would do better. Logan proves scheduling is important. Playing Pt. Pleasant and VC does not get a team ready for anything.Oh yeah guarateed wins but that is it. The only other team in the SEOAL that could have touched Pick north this year was Zanesville. The rest of our brethern would have been handled by Pick north.

Use this off season to get better so Logan is in some games before Logan hosts a playoff game again next year. Logan has won so many consecutive league games i have lost count. Get better. Challenge Logan. Until then your comments are just:: CHIEFTAIN ENVY.

Go to Joe Eitel. Check the remaining teams left in the playoffs NOW. You will find they were not only GOOD, but their SCHEDULES were loaded and tough.

Coaches knew, even back in the 60's & 70's, that if you played good teams and you had some talent, YOU GOT BETTER. That fact remains sadly dismissed in SEO, one of the MAJOR reasons the area is left behind in the playoffs, regardless of division.. Too many coaches desparate to win at any cost, no matter how weak, no matter how easy, no matter how embarassing. Then, fans can't understand why the area fails.

It isn't rocket science, folks.

You are wimps because you CHOOSE to be wimps. And bring everyone around you down as well. Until the public demands better, wimps you shall remain.

That was pretty much my point, Paladin. Westfall may be somewhat of an exception, but it wasn't their fault the SVC was somewhat down this year. Their current non-league schedule, seems to be doing the trick for them, at least enough to balance things out. That being said, it sure does not seem to be an accident the final 4 teams in each division are where they are. Most, not all, have scheduled "up".
