Gallipolis scrimmages?
Anyone know if the Gallipolis 7th-8th graders will have a scrimmage or two prior to their openers at Logan on Nov. 26?

I didn't watch the 7th grade game but Ironton's 7th grade team is exceptional. I would put them up against many 8th grade teams in the area. I can't say it was a blowout but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.
I did watch the 8th grade scrimmage and I wouldn't classify it as a blowout. I think Ironton dominated the 1st peroid but I felt as if Wheelersburg dominated the 2nd period as they played full court defense and gave Ironton trouble. It's hard to say who may have won with all the substitutions and the fact that it was only a scrimmage. I'd say these teams would be very competitive in a regular season series. If Ironton doesn't handle the ball better against a full court press, Wheelersburg could cause them lots of problems.
