I like Alex in this one because the edge in coaching should overcome the home court advantage at "the big red wall."

Good luck to the Spartans to bring home all 3 wins in Friday's triple header :!:

After seeing them both play if Alexander plays defense they should be able to beat Trimble by 20 points minimum...
Trimble does have a couple of outside shooters so they will have to be careful.
Good Luck Alex, have a great season opener!

It was 59-53 or something close to that. Cats actually led in the 4th by 2.

I thought Alexander looked totally out of synch. Doesn't seem to be any true leaders on this team, or respected leaders I should say. Yes, I know they won but it sure didn't look like the Alexander teams of old. Hopefully they have the talent because Alexander has historically been a team that must have the talent already in order to win.

I thought #24 was pretty impressive. Alex also has a freshman coming up that looks like a giant. You couldn't really tell on the replay because of the angle but he was pretty tall.

Trimble played with a lot of heart, I think they were down by 9 or 10 early in the 3rd and came back and took the lead in the 4th.

Congrats Spartans on your season opener win :!: :-D

Some awfully hard critics for the first game of the season. Yea, there were some mistakes, but one thing to remember - only 3 of the 10 players saw varisty playing time last season. A LOT of first game jitters.

I think the team will get better as the season goes on.

Keep your heads up :!: :-D

Sounds like the same ole run and gun spartans, no structure, and live and die by the outside shot. Hope a six point win performance over Trimble isnt the preview for the rest of the season.

You're on the road, shoot 60% from the floor, take 11 more foul shots than the home team, and win by six. I'd be counting my blessings, that is for sure!!!!!!!!!
