OK I am confused, Hammy always played Zane Trace week 3.
Hammy has it's ups and Downs a lot but lately seems to be more on the upswing.
They have a great new stadium, used this year for the first time, Turf field if I remember correctly.
Piketon is returning a lot of skill players and will give you a battle til the end. they never give up as long as the clock is ticking, they are playing.

Amen. I've been wanting to see these two teams get together for a long time. Both schools have a rich football tradition, are comparable in size, and each team would give the other considerable playoff points. Not to mention NY should play every school that has orange in it's school colors.

Highschoolsports.net still has NY playing @ Hamilton Township and not @ Johnstown Monroe. Was that ever finalized?

Is Hamilton Twsp the school Coach Jacoby left Col. Desales for? I'm pretty sure it is. I would expect him to have that team ready to play. He is an excellent coach. I would'nt doubt some of his ties in Columbus would net him some transfers also. I expect this to be a very competitive game. NY has done some serious upgrading to their schedule. I hope it pays dividends for them come playoff time.

So for Buckeye football 2008 the schedule will be:
Nelsonville-York 2008
Fri 08/22/2008 TRIMBLE
Fri 08/29/2008 @ Piketon
Fri 09/05/2008 @ Hamilton Township
Fri 09/12/2008 @ Wellston*
Fri 09/19/2008 MEIGS*
Fri 09/26/2008 @ Belpre*
Fri 10/03/2008 ALEXANDER*
Fri 10/10/2008 ATHENS*
Fri 10/17/2008 IRONTON
Fri 10/24/2008 @ Vinton County*
I would also say that this will be one of the tougher schedules in recent history. By the way how far of a drive is Piketon, and Hamilton Township from NY highschool.
