Gallipolis JR High traveled to Logan on sat .The team finished 8 th overall top wrestlers for Gallia were Zack Tackett 5- wins Brandon Taylor 5- wins and Brandon Cambell 5 wins

jacob white will wrestle for jr high this year , i think this will be a good year for him he has been a tremedous wrestler he won championship 3 years in a row ! you"ll go far jacob keep it up

yes jacob is a good wrestler but he has won the championship only 2 years in a row he lost to brandon taylor taylors last year of grade school wrestling jacob has never beaten taylor they have met 3 times with taylor winning all 3 times but I am not tasking a thing from jacob he is a beast on the mat and a great kid that listens in practice . I know because I have coached him he will do fine this year but jr high wrestling is a little different and alot tougher than the mason county league

I have heard Brandon is a tremendous wrestler. Coached both of these kids in football, of course Brandon is 2 years older, at least in school years so the comparison so far is kind of a moot point but to have them on the same team would be awesome. I would be willing t bet that Jacob is as strong as Brandon right now and of course Jacob will be a 7th grader and Brandon a 9th grader. Coach, I am not taking anything away form your knowledge as i know you know what you do and know it well but all i would ask is that you keep on making Jacob work hard b/c he is the strongest kid you will find going into the 7th grade for awhile and probably at least the last 10 years. All packed into a 145# - 150# frame. and i know he isn't as strong as he is tough. I think the daily practice routine with wrestling and with your technical help will help him to be very very productive on the mat. Wrestling is a very demanding sport technically and isn't totally about strength but God gives certain athletes something special and Jacob was given that something special. Keep up the good work with these kids and most of all good luck to all of the wrestlers, especially the former Elk football players.

jacob is a great kid whenever he see's me he always comes up to shoot the bull an talk he has alot of talent this year will be the test of his talent and see if he is willing to step up to the next level . I remeber his first year of mlf one of the elks coach asked me if I knew any good kids I gave him jacobs name be cause I had helped coach him in youth league wrestling the previous year needless to say he was a great pick for the elks .as far as wrestling this is a sport that he can go far in he has all the tools he is quick, strong and has good balance and quick thinking. jacob and taylor are alike in many ways in wrestling they both will not quit and fight till the end they have become good friends with taylor helping jacob with his wrestling this past year jacob just needs to keep his grades in order and stay out of trouble and everything will fall in place for this kid. I know he values my opinion and I do try an keep tabs on him and what he up to I just hope to see the day when the two boys are on the same wrestling team
