Junlie,

It is a typical post of yours. You bring nothing to this forum but taking up space. I think we have all read your thoughts before.

2old, what's a matter, can't you deal with the facts :?: Logan Div. 2 wanna bees. Logan is scared to play schools there own size  There record against schools there own size shows that. No wonder you like playing Div. 3 and 4 schools. Whose uniforms should be yellow

Lets compare Logans record this CENTURY versus Irontons record this CENTURY against teams they have played with a winning % above 500.

---------LOGAN --------IRONTON

D1--------1-10-----------2-1
D2--------3-5 ------------5-5
D3--------7-4 ------------9-6
D4--------3-1 ------------15-8
D5--------1-0 ------------6-1
-----------15-20----------37-21

With all of the returning starters we have back next season we'll be in the chase for the League title next year.

OH,

Thanks for the laugh. I have been reading that next year comment for three years now. I think ironton and Chicago, and Cleveland fans all have the same dictionary. WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR.

Logan will DOMINATE this like even more next year. No wonder you guys all want to cut and run. Problem is you are stick stuck taking your beat down next year. Don't make the trip. It will be ugly.

BTW, check me out i am perfect on predicting Logan. You have been here two years. Logan has to titles as i predicted. Next year will be the third.

I have no idea if Ironton is leaving or not, i personaly would hate to see them go. That being said, if anyone out there thinks this will be the last team to leave the SEOAL than you are crazy. I am not for sure who voted for the new formed league and who voted against it but I seem to remember Jackson voted against it, they may be the smartest group out there. I would also think that Logan would want them to stay, the years that they would play would still get one of them a lot of playoff points.IMO

Just like a child making things up just so he'll be correct. The forum heading is "Football", not "today football". You just keep sticking to your story about how great Logan is and let the Ironton fans worry about Ironton football.

Such hate and discontent. I said it when the topic first came up - don't offer Ironton an invitation. My rationale was simply league pride. In the 80s Ironton left because the league wasn't good enough for Ironton fooball. Now, Ironton didn't deserve the opportunity to leave again but the league allowed themselves to be fooled again.

The reason Bob Lutz doesn't like the SEOAL as much as being an independant is simple. He wants to control the schedule so you don't play tough games each week. Far better to split those games around cupcakes so you don't have to get up every week. It makes good sense if you want to go to the playoffs every year. Schedule 4 or 5 quality opponens divided by 4 or 5 not so quality teams allowing you to take a breather now and then. Not dogging him for being smart, mind you, I think it's a great formula for long term success. Woody always did the same thing at OSU. Problem with the league is you end up playing a stretch like Jackson, Gallia, Chillicothe, Portsmouth and Logan. No one can be expected to run that gauntlet unscathed very often. Just from a physical aspect even when those teams are down, they're physical and those bumps and bruises do have an ongoing effect on your team.

:-D
Well said.

Back to the topic, I think the league does make sense for football regardless of the fact that Logan is the greatest team ever. Ironton would travel a lot as an independent or as a member of this league. I think the travel becomes more of an issue in all the other sports. I believe that to be true just because those sports can find games a bit closer to home.

Another thing that I think has already been pointed out, the current AD was not the AD at the time the decision was made to enter the SEOAL. There are different people involved now as were involved when the decision was made. Also, just like test driving a car, maybe some who were for it don't like it know that they've tried it out.

Either way, I don't think it will matter on the vote of the school board as the new member could vote against this and the issue is dead and Ironton stays in the SEOAL.

I stated we would be in the chase, I didn't say we would dominate or even win the league but we will be in the hunt for sure.

2old, I noticed you didn't comment about the facts win / loss records against above 500 teams this CENTURY.

Do you notice the grinches are busy. Not only editing my post but gee now they seem to disappaerr too. Must be an editor and a magician. What i said was ironton had to get out of the league in the 80's to make the playoffs and now in the 2000'ss ironton has to get out of the league again to make the playoffs. Funny how that works. What goes around comes around.

Travel, travel, travel. It is just as far from point A to point B, as it is from point B to point A. Are the other schools complaining about the travel so much that they are leaving, or is the Ironton thing the only one that is talk worthy?
I don't think Ironton would leave because of the lack of domination.
IMO, I like Ironton in the SEOAL, but if you don't wanna be here, GET OUT!
SEE YA, DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YA.....
