Southern Has a COACH!!

first of all, southern gets on here and bad mouths us more than we do them. they make fun of us when we lose to nelsonville, or in the playoffs. even though they never make the playoffs. then when we say something back you guys get on here and bash us. when we say they lose in the tourny in basketball they say at leaste they made it that far. that doesnt make since after they bash us for losing in the playoffs when they have never been to the playoffs. secondly, we did beat a team in the playoffs last year and they are not from seo. but this is seops and we are one of the best teams for our size in seo. as far as running mouths, river ran their mouth last year after they beat us cuz a bunch of people get on here acting like they are from trimble and run their mouths. they are not even from trimble, like tomcatfan for one. but river people ran their mouths, then they got thumped in the next round. so everyone can get beat. it just gets old when people run their mouths to us, then cry when we give it back. we take it without crying about it, so you should take it too.

You have got to be kidding me right?..Southern fans bash on you first & more?..I'm pretty sure you have to be 13 years old to sign up on SEOPS(hope you figure out what I meant w/that statement)!!!..It's just funny how they're are always 3-4 Trimble fans on everyone else's threads..Maybe if you stayed off the non-Trimble threads you wouldn't be attacked. And yes I can see maybe 1 or 2 imposters. But it's just funny how once one Tomcat scratches the rest of the barn cats aren't far behind on that thread!

Who cares about football? I just wish we could win the basketball division of the Tri valley. We went from almost winning the state back in my day to where we are now. People saying we are a baseball school. If the basketball coach is smart he will keep the athletes off the football field.

I'm with you redeagle! I, for one, was able to interpret your meaning I see the same thing you do. Maybe some community's posters are more sensitive than others or something but I have seen very little by way of the visa versa, mostly THS dishing out a very immature brand of trash talk. A few, assumed players, are doing, what sounds to me like, getting into the weightroom and getting pumped about it and like to discuss it but other than a select few the Southern faithful don't seem to be bashing the THS faithful. SHS "supporters" are really hard on each other though.

I am for any SEO team getting better and believe it or not if Southern gets better than so do the other teams in the league b/c that easy win is off the schedule.

Dog, no offense but if you don't care about football, go to the bball forum. And if you don't want the "athletes" competing on the football field then maybe that is where the bball teams have been lacking of late b/c now a days kids need that physicality and strength to compete on the hardwood. Don't get me wrong, after seeing the crap from those trimble posters, I hope you guys improve and turn the table on them in football and continue handing it to them in basketball.

Caldwell is from SEO (Northwest of Marietta). Yes, Trimble is one of the best teams for it's size in SEO but you have to look at the big picture. In your regular season last year you played 5 teams with losing records, 2 teams that were .500 and 3 teams with winning records (of which 2 of them beat you). Good luck to all SEO teams this year from this transplanted fan living in Columbus but rooting for all teams south of I-70 and east of Rt. 23.

well its hard to find teams around here our size with winnning records. thats why coach faires is playing teams from other areas. but i am saying that southern bashes us, and we beat them every year. we even beat them both times in basketball this year but they still bash us. so i keep bashing them back. i hope they do get better in football though cuz i am tired of people saying we are in the worst league in ohio. all the other teams in our league has made it to the playoffs except southern. also i hope the teams including us in our league that make the playoffs start winning more playoff games. it makes all the teams look better when they do.

I still say who cares about football. Not many played back in our day and we almost won it all. Thats the problem though the football coach talks the basketball players in to playing football. Next thing you know he has em lifting those dammed weights. Now tell me who don't know that lifting weights and basketball don't mix well? Not a danged one of us ever picked up a weight back in my day. Carl wouldn't allow it. So lifting weights might make you better in football, but it will kill a basketball team.

Have you seen any basketball games since you played?? Weights killing a bball player went away long ago. 2 words Lebron James, ever seen him? Weightlifting? Yeah probably. As long as players work on their shot it won't hurt them. If you can play basketball at all then weights won't affect it and today if you don't lift, the kids that do will jam you when yu cut and knock your butt down or screen you clear off the floor. I guess your statement holds true only if you wish to be the best player in a league of guys that don't lift weights but in the real world teams have to compete against each other and weights help. Maybe that is the mindset that has hurt the program at Southern more that the kids you so consistantly blame it on. With that said, I still hope you beat Trimble this year. I bet every team that won a single play-off game this year in Ohio in bball was a weight lifting team.

Dog, no offense my man but I believe somewhere along the line you have been brainwashed and no arguement will hold water. You will struggle to find someone that agrees with your opinion about weights and bball. I stand by my opinion that if the community and especially the coach share your beliefs, they will never again have the opportunity to excell on that grand stage or even scare the idea. Times have changed and myths have been dispelled since those days. MYTHS! Name a player playing D1 college basketball that didn't lift weights or any college basketball for that matter. You cannot win deep into the tournament in Ohio without at least one college basketball prospect on board. You can't even win the SEOAL without at least one college basketball recruit on the team and no team could compete without lifting weights.

Back to Southern football. Keep working hard guys and improve each and every day.
