But what is the percentage of public schools to the percentage or private schools in the state? 85 - 15? Just a guess. We are looking at half of the state titles are almost won by private schools versus the majority of schools (around 80% lets say) are public schools. Anyone else see that as an issue?

No issue here, well, maybe one... the private schools put a bigger emphasis on extracurriculars as part of the entire education experience. To separate would be a mistake. The parochial students will still be competing against the public ones later in life in college, the working/business world, etc. Hasn't seemed to be a problem at "certain" public schools. St. Henry, Coldwater, Versailles, Dayton Dunbar, Canton McKinley, and Steubenville come to mind. Get better, don't change things to make it "appear" that you have.
