The Saint Joseph Flyers might have played their best game of the year tonight as a team. St Joe got off to a fast start and the Rebels of South Gallia just couldn't turn them off. It didn't seem to matter who was on the floor for the Flyers they were hitting their shots. I don't have the shooting percentages for the teams but St Joe must have had a high percentage. Not bad for a team who doesn't get to practice much on their home court. Final score of the game was Saint Joseph 70 South Gallia 45. St Joe was led in scoring by Chad Harvey with 16. Pat Gagai had 13 and David Crossan and Joey Basedow had 10. Peyton Blair chipped in with 9 and Alex Brown had 6. A big team effort tonight by the Flyers as Coach Kevin Sheridan cleared the bench in the last minutes of the game. Congrats to Coach Sheridan and his staff, Nate Klein and Jeremy Williams on the victory. The Flyers are back in action again tomorrow night at Portsmouth Notre Dame.
St Joseph scoring:
Harvey 16
Blair 9
Crossan 10
Basedow 10
Gagai 13
Brown 6
Caleb Blackburn 4
Whaley 0
Hopkins 0
Klein 0
Cody Blackburn 0
Schwab 1
Alexander 1
South Gallia I do not have names, only numbers. If someone from South Gallia could supply the roster with numbers I'll finish the scoring.

#30 Duncan was leading scorer for the Rebels with 13. He was the only player in double figures.
Not much varsity experience for the Flyers returning this year either. Harvey and Blackburn are the only ones with varsity experience. St Joe graduated 5 seniors last year and thats a ton when you only have 16 boys in the top three grades.

PT I'll see you at both places. Sounds like sharp minds think alike.
I hope The Ribber has big napkins!
Nice crowd at St Joe last night and the St Joe student section was really into the game. Not large in numbers but boy are they loud and those Flyer cheerleaders get those kids all fired up. I like their cheer to Hang on Sloopy, "Let's Go St Joe". South Gallia brought a nice following with them also last night. Now its on to Portsmouth ND and I hope my buddy Harv has given me the right directions to the gym. Maybe I should say I hope I remember his directions.
