Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Roger has been sick for a long time. He continued to out live all the doctors predictions. He was told in June of 2004 that the longest he would live with stage 4 colon cancer would be two and a half years with treatments. Then he was placed on Hospice last June, we were told it wouldn't be months, but only weeks , and here it is January. He began slipping away from this world last Thursday. His two daughters and his sister made it in before his death and he was here at home surrounded by all his children and grandchildren as he passed from this life to the next. He had slipped into a coma on Sunday and never moved again until an hour before he died, when he raised up and hugged me. It was the best hug that I have ever received from him. I am going up to make the arrangements at 10 a.m. and will post it later today. Also, YTB, Bev wanted me to tell you Thank you for your conversation with her today and to say God Bless you for the things you said to her.

Grandma, I cannot put into words what I want to say to you in your time of need. Your courage and strength through this entire process has been one of valor and determination. you fought an uphill battle alongside your husband until the very end. never loosing hope that God would give you just one more day. God bless.
If you ever need anything let me know and I will drive down there myself to help you out.

The viewing for Roger had a wonderful turnout of friends, family, and former co-workers. Tigerbait and gahs4ever came before the crowd hit and it was so nice to meet Mr. and Mrs. Focused. Thank you for coming as it really meant a lot to me. gahs4ever gave my granddaughter, cheergurl, a Blue Devils bracelet. I doubt if she will wear it when she is cheering at the Jackson games but kept it on all day. Tomorrow will be the rough day so they are making me head for bed , so once again, thanks for all the wonderful words you have posted on here.
