I haven't seen Jackson play this year but if they have a good power running game I think it may be a test for the Burg. The Pirates really haven't seen any good power I or T offenses and I think that type of team could give them problems. Their speed on defense has been difficult for most teams to cope with but a power running team could negate that. The last four games between these two have all been blowouts so hopefully this one will be a better game.
Go Burg.

You guys didn't think we were coming last year? Lol.

I am glad you think a couple D5 and D6 schools have you prepared lol for us this year. You played the same schedule last year except substituting a bad Western Brown team this year for last years' Granville team. Chilly made play-offs last year and look to do the same this year. What's changed?
I would guess that he means Jackson's schedule so far this season has been a little tougher than Wheelersburg's.
I'd hope their schedule was tougher they're twice the size

Is that what you do now Bird Dog is troll the Jackson topics and make snide comments . I saw one you made in the NY Logan topic about Jackson . Are you that worried about the Ironmen that you must lash out ?? Lol

Meigs, Athens , VC are all bigger than burg and Burg would beat all those teams combined . Now what ?

Not worried at all and actually wish them the best but do comment when others spout off or comment before me. I think we both know what/who I'm talking about.

I agree they would crush all those teams and so would Jackson.

Thanks for keeping everyone in line.

The strength of Jackson or Wheelersburg's schedule won't play much of a factor on Friday night. Obviously strength of schedule discussion annoyed you though. Wanna know what annoys me? When people think that school size is the end all, be all of high school football.

Wheelersburg is a perfect example. They're D5, but I'm telling you right now that they could beat many schools that are several divisions higher than them. Wanna know why? Because they're talented, disciplined, and well-coached. They show up and compete. They don't dwell on the size of their opponent. When Logan was D1, did you hear Jackson fans complaining about how they were too big and it was unfair for Jackson to play them? No, Jackson believed in their program, competed, and won against the bigger school many times. Clearly school size plays a role. There wouldn't be divisions if it didn't, but what matters more is the type of program that you build.

No problem, I do my best. Agree with most of what your saying and don't have a problem with it, they are two very good programs. There are alot of fairweather fans on here that bash the smaller leagues and brag about great records and seasons against those same teams and when playoffs get here they get smoked by the teams they think they are.

I meant the part where you said about teams making the payoffs and "getting smoked by the teams they think they are "

We always have goofy posters , all teams have em

I'll leave it at make a serious run and prove me wrong, which we'll probably agree to disagree on that. Good luck Friday night and I honestly hope Jackson wins. I'm not rooting against any teams just have problems with a few posters.

I have absolutely no idea who wins this game but you can bet your butt that both teams will show up.I've seen both play and this is definitely the game to see.Good luck to both teams and I hope you have an injury free game.

this is going to be a great one!! I Saw where Andy Hall is tied for the Jackson Program in wins at 63. They will be ready to play and that is just what we need for Burg, we have to see where we really stand and where the real improvement is needed to get prepared for playoffs.

GO BURG!!!

Couldn't agree more. Our first four games were against mediocre teams and we didn't get much of a challenge. I've heard from several around the burg camp that next yr not only did we pick up bishop watterson but I'm also hearing dayton chaminade julienne. We need to do something or come playoff time we will always get treated like government muels from the likes to cold h20 and programs like that
