Yeah, I seen that, that's why I posted that 2nd link. Tells some about it. Some think those nasal strips are not safe for the horse as well. Got me, I'm not a big horse race fan, but would like to go bet at the track sometime. Ole RJM use to race horses and was in to it big time. He was in to those ones where ya had that two wheel cart deal behind the horse. He passed away a couple years ago.

Yea that's the harness racing I was saying my brother in-law and his family did.Its about what everybody in these parts does, not too much thoroughbred racing goes on around here. Did RMJ have trotters or pacers? My BIL had pacers,he wasn't much into the trotters for some reason.

Couldn't tell ya. But he loved it and always was at the fairgrounds. He had a couple of his own horses down there years ago. His truck had leather stuff everywhere when he took me down there as a kid. Couldn't hardly set in that truck on the passenger side from it piled up in there. Had that Barn smell as well.
