Northwest is atrocious. One set of bleachers. Sound system is OK at best. Staring into the sun trying to see the scoreboard until the sun goes down....nope. Walk a county mile to the restroom again nope....bbn77 wrote:Every SOC 1 team has a less than adequate facility except Oak Hill and Northwest.
I don't know about Trimble being the worst but it's definitely down there. Huntington and Miller are just as bad and maybe worse

New Lexington's is very nice. Parking blows, but it's nice.
Re: Best and Worst Stadiums in Southeastern Ohio
I may be biased but I think valley has the best place to watch a game. Great stadium great atmosphere good parking concessions on both sides plenty of away side seating and I prefer the brick wall over a metal fence
Worst I used to hate playing at northwest with the shared bleachers valleys old stadium was like that too I never knew why

Best:
Jackson
Logan
good:
Vinton County
Nelsonville
Meigs
Oldie's but goodies:
Ironton
Wellston (Quite a few upgrades but I like the brick laid home side and the fact that there is no track)
Best to play at as a player:
Old Meigs stadium, the field wasn't the greatest nor was the visitor's locker room. but the placement in the hills by the river was great especially with the old cabin perched on the hill side, just a cool place in my opinion.

I would certainly agree with that about the visitors side.

Best
Portsmouth- nice visitor and home seats
Valley- no fence, awesome.
Logan- probably the most comfortable seating
Worst
Fairland- smells like a meth lab.
East- ran down, bad.
Ironton worst parking, terrible seating, bad sound, no room to stand.

Re: Best and Worst Stadiums in Southeastern Ohio
Waverly's is really nice. A couple of years ago we installed a turf field and new bleachers on both sides. New concessions, lights and locker rooms also. This past summer we added additional seating and paved the parking lot out front. We now have over 500 lined parking spots out front all within a couple minutes walk to the front gates. Most folks probably haven't seen the completed project.
I really like Valley's stadium. As nice as it gets in my book. Oak Hill's is neat also. I haven't been to Burg's in a few years. Jackson's stadium is nice. I must say the ones without a track around them are extra special. The closer to the action the better.
