i believe you guys if you say that the refs were awful.
usually if there is a team that wins the game and yet they are still saying the refs were bad...then they probably were. why would you guys make it up...its not like you are looking for an excuse for why you lost, because south point won. if south point lost and they were on here saying the refs were bad then maybe i would think its just bitterness....but i believe you. wish i could have seen the dunk! lol

It is almost always the officials fault. Heck I bet if you ask fans from both sides of any game they will say the officials favored the other side. You know this gets old. Schools do have the right to refuse a crew if they do not want them. Then why not an assignor in the OVC?
I know at the school I follow the visitors complain about the officials and the home fans do also. It is everywhere!

Just what I thought. You can't find anything so you will just make something up. There has never been anything like that happen in RV/Fairland game.
Before people say things like that you should be able to back it up.
Your team was setting moving screens last night. They were also going over the back of RV rebounders. Maybe a couple over the back. Are we complaining about it? NO.
In the game at SP earlier. A very questionable offensive foul called on RV took away a basket and possible 3 point play that would have given us a 4 pt lead with about 1 minute left in game. Instead no basket a 1 point lead. SP goes down and scores on next poss. to retake the lead. Was it a bad call??? I wouldn't say that. Could it have went the other way? ABSOLUTELY!!! Did we cry and complain? NO.

Being an RV alum, I hate to agree with this guy but this comment is true. On a few possessions it happened in front of the ref and nothing was called so at the next timeout, a South Point assistant coach told two officials to watch for the jersey grabbing and it was still never called. If his jersey was an XL at the beginning of the game, it is probably a XXXXXXL now.

The officiating at RV is always awful. If you are from RV you should know that your refs are the worst on the area. Every time we had to go to RV we knew reguardless of how much better we were, we would be in a dog fight because of their one terriable gym, and two teh refs. Half the time one of their refs is their asst principal I beleive.

A quick glance at the comments on here led me to believe that RV won. All's well that ends well. If you think that blaming the refs for a loss makes you look childish, then imagine someone who won complaining about them. Just shut up already. These kids don't hire refs, they didn't help out in the construction on the gym, and they haven't drug their feet in passing levies or appropriating district funds. That blame lies elsewhere, so quit putting it on the kids or their coach. I think they do a great job, record notwithstanding. The boys basketball team has at least been competitive every year since I was in school, much more than can be said for many of the other programs at RV. Interest in the sports by the students is down, which happens. It'll get better. In the meantime try to show some maturity, these are high school athletic programs. The main purpose of these events is still being achieved, and as far as I am concerned thats enough.
