What a game, I thought it was over with about 1:40 left. Nice game by both teams. That Bendolph kid is going to be a heck of a ball player, well he already is but i cant wait to see what he will do the next three years!
Champions aren't made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them -- a desire, a dream, a vision.
ZT shot lights out. 54 percent for the game including 6/8 from three. Maxwell was huge and Miller had a great all around game. both had over 20 points. the thing i noticed tonight about ZT was the decision making. they took care of the ball, made the extra pass to find the open man and took and made open shots! i expected porstmouth to overwhelm them with size and athleticism but the Trojans didnt use that quickness to pressure the pioneers defensively until late. when they did it was effective. i would have liked to see them tighten up that man to man but give credit to ZT for playing so well. Seemed as if portsmouth was always one step behind the ball and the passing of ZT. congrats to the pioneers.
if that same ZT team shows up against North Adams, ZT gets to the convo.

Man, ball movement does a lot, but it doesn't make your shots for you. ZT had some of the best ball movement I've seen in HS and got open shot after open shot...and didn't miss. It was pretty amazing.
Miller was on fire to start the night and Maxwell shot the lights out in the 2nd half. McCoy played very well off of the bench as well. Not sure why Bendolph wouldn't get the ball down the stretch, especially with the other two scoring options fouled out.
