Viked Man Congrats on the job you have done with your team this year. Also good luck to all of the teams that have had great season's this year. B-Ball will be strong for years to come due to all of the hard work and time all of the coaches have put into their programs. I would be in attendence to see you all play in any shoot games this summer. Good luck to you all in the future

To add to this statement Ironton handled Burg in a scrimage by 35 or 30 points
(took starters out for the whole 4th Quarter.
That was a scrimage @ the beginning of the season and Burg has stepped up there game since then, I think a rematch would be alot closer of a ball game. Burg was still searching out there starting 5 then too. In saying that Ironton does have a very good and talented ball club. What tournament is Ironton playing in?, would like to come and watch them play

It has been interesting to see the debate among these four teams. As the coach of Peebles I have seen Vinton County first hand and can say they have an outstanding team. We did play them over the summer but neither team had their full complement of players and summer basketball is used to develop kids and get to know your personel. We played a Wheelersburg team last season but I am sure all of their kids were not there and I know the transfer kids were not there, although we did play against them at the McGraw league and I saw them at a shootout at Rio Grande. I have no doubt Wheelersburg has an outstanding team as well and may go watch them this weekend in their tournament. It would be alot of fun to have a tournament with these teams but the OHSAA would never allow it to happen as we are limited in games. However during the summer maybe we can arrange a shootout with these teams as well as other good teams from our area. I'll be in contact with these schools and if the coaches are interested let me know.
Wow this 7th grade Ironton team is something to watch. They beat Rowan Co. 56-26.
One of the refs came over to one of our dads and said that this was the best 7th grade team he had ever seen and that none of them were selfish at all.
I have to agree that this team is special and I can't wait to see them in high school.
Go Tigers!!!!!!!!

I agree 86 Tiger. This group plays like a team..... We play again Tuesday at 6:30 @East Carter High School. I hope we can get a lot of fans to come and support this team.
I also want to say congratulations to Ironton's 8th grade team on a great season. I enjoyed watching every game. This is a great group of kids as well. The high school has something to look forward to that is for sure.

There was a great article in the Adams County newspaper, The People's Defender, that came out today (Wednesday, Feb. 20) about the Peebles 7th grade team and their win over Ripley in the SHL tournament championship game. The article also mentioned how this group of boys have gone two years without losing a game as they went 33-0 as 6th graders in various tournaments and in their league and then went 17-0 this year in junior high. These boys have now won 50 consecutive games over the past two seasons.
Yes there're a great team, and have a class act coach.
VC's 7th graders only losses 1 to Peebles in 6th grade tourny @ Waverly, and I think to Warren Local, logan whom we just defeated in trimble tournament to go to 14-0 and have championship game Sat verse Fed Hoc. if they have lost to any other teams I am unaware.
Congrats to the young Indians. Maybe we can play next year, but I may still be coaching 7th grade (which will be another good team). At least hope to be coaching one of them.

Viked Man, that would be a good idea if you could have a shoot out with these four teams and any others that are interested. Would be a good day of basketball.

We are going to try to enter the shootout @ Rio on June 8 this year too.
Speaking of Rio, I encourage all coaches to get as many as their players in their camp as possible!
See you all next season; I hope.

Are there any players from these four teams playing AAU anywhere?
