if burg were to loose the massey kid ,it would be all over i dont knoe his age but sure looks older than any 7th on the burg ,or any other 7th grade team .prediction cowgill takes point over in high school.

Bushmaster 24. Cowgill is definitely not a point guard. Austin McBee is. I believe he and Massey shared the point this year. Both of them did a good job.

just a prediction , if he followshis brothers footsteps it would be hard not to play him in that position his brother was unstoppable at the point plus now cowgill is a burg name

I played on Clay Massies b-ball team last year he was a post player and I was point. Cowgill is just an o.k b-ball player. He has got the height but not the reflexis or speed like his brother.

I know that Cody Acree is playing OYB with me . But McBee, Massie, and Cowgill are playing baseball at burg

five of Ironton's players are playing on AAU teams. They are on three different teams due to that stupid OHSAA rule. I hate that rule I think it is just stupid and there is only one other state that does that. It is very hard to have to split these kids up.

Starting in the summer between a player's 7th and 8th grade years, only two players from the same school can play with the same team. This is an OHSAA rule and not an AAU rule. It is different for every state. Kentucky has no rule like this that I know of. This rule is for public schools. For private schools it doesn't come into play until after a player's 9th grade year because it isn't until the 9th grade that private schools have to follow the OHSAA rules. Peebles junior high boys are having to do the same thing.

bucknut is correct it is a OHSAA rule and has nothing to do with AAU.

I am in the process of putting a shootout together on June 14th. On the 8th grade side I have committments from Piketon, Williamsburg, Vinton County, Jackson in the 8th grade. If anyone has contacts with Wheelersburg, Ironton, or Unioto pass the information along to those schools and have them call Peebles High School if interested (937-587-2681). I have made phone calls to schools but haven't heard anything yet. Also if any 7th grade teams are interested let me know.
