Hypothetical Match Up: Wheelersburg vs East

Let's get some thoughts on this hypothetical match up. IMO it wouldn't be close. Yes both teams are good this season and yes they both may very well take the region I just don't think it would be close. Burg IMO would have 30 or 40 points at half time

I don't care who you are, that's funny, and true. East lacks discipline and the true colors seem to come out one way or another.

East is good for this area and it's size. But FAR from being the best the state or even near that. Region 27 is one of the worst regions in Division 7 and East isn't even at the top. I'll take Region 25 then 28 over the rest. Mogadore is on a different level than East.

Now Wheelersburg on other hand could possibly be one of the best in its entire division. You have to factor in Coldwater of course, but Wheelersburg has the tools this year to make another run deep. These two shouldn't even be compared in my opinion.

Maybe Waverly and Wheelersburg would be a better comparison right now.

East is talented. But how many of those kids are from East versus how many transferred there because they had trouble at their previous schools? This probably has something to do with the on the field behavior.

Not even close! Two different levels of football. How many kids from East are transfers? I am sure East is a good football team but I don't think they really have been tested this year and may not until they play Oak Hill.

They both have transfers from everywhere but East wouldn't stand a chance. I would give 40 points on the house, car, and farm..

Burg is way too disciplined and fundamentally sound for East, athlete for athlete East could match up but as far as coaching and the penalties and the offense East runs burg would win. East does have a good defense, they are fast and fly to the football but they gamble alot and their DBs focus way to much on the run and dont worry so much about the pass(that's where burg would hurt them. We will never see this match up but I do think East could stop their rush, if you can pass that's what hurts East(always has) . Healthy roster, take away the dumb penalties (east running that same offense) I say it would be 35-6, 42-13. That's with burg scoring 4/5 times through the air. If East spreads it out and puts their athletes in space and allow them more 1 on 1 matchups it would be closer than most would think and possibly some of these posters losing their house,car and farms lol. Perfect game vs perfect game Burg still wins, I just believe it would be less than a 3 score game.
