If Tate plays football, then he will be Belpre's starting QB in 2008. As many big plays as he made at reciever his freshmen season only touching the ball 4 or 5 times a game, I've got to believe the coaching staff would love to pair him in the backfield with Packard. Should be a nice combo. Tate has the ability to get outside the pocket and make plays. With Packard's ability to run the "rock" and with the line they have returning "everybody but Zach Kress" Belpre should get 8 wins this coming season

If Markie Tate plays he will be the starting quarterback he's the ultimate Michael Vick style player that could pose alot of threats for any opponent.

The Eagle faithful may need to be patient with this year's QB. Tate hasn't played QB since Jr. High and Ullman doesn't have much (if any) varsity experience. If you think either of these kids will be able to step into that role at the varsity level and set the world on fire you may put more pressure on them than they need.
For the first few games you'd be better off getting excited if they can manage to avoid big mistakes. Give them some time to settle in before you start expecting them to go out and make a big impact.
