Northwest vs Wheelersburg 2/6

Post by The_Legend_of_Northwest »

hopefully this game stays more interesting than the first time around and no airhorns interupt. northwest will need to play a near perfect game to win if they hit their 3s and leslie plays great they can win. Since im a Northwest fan i believe that will happen and northwest will win 64-60

Burg defense too stingy with buckets. Hard to beat someone when you can only score under 30 points. Spradlin himself is avging about 19 points. Should go the Pirates way.

The Pirates defense is way to tough, and even though the game is at Northwest and the Mohawks are playing some pretty good ball, I still see the Burg winning by double digits.

Hopefully a good crowd will be at NW on Wed. night. I know its a church night, Burg has a jr. high team (7th boys) playing in the county tournament at Webster and if the freshmen win tonight (Monday) they will be playing in a game at Ashland. I look for the Mohawk nation to be out in force for game. This one has the makings of a very good game. I know Coach Scarberry will have his troops ready to play and Coach Barrick will have the Pirates ready after a sloopy win Sat. night at Gallipolis.

I hope to see you there 'bama. Little shorter trip for me this game, only a short drive down 73 and 348. I think this will be a tough game, good luck to the Pirates.

Gonna be tough for Northwest to beat D-3 #8 Wheelersburg, but anything can happen. I didn't think they had a shot against Oak Hill, but I was proved wrong in that one. I'm gonna go with Burg by 10. Prove me wrong again Mowhawks! Good luck to both teams...

With Northwest out of school for flooding, is the game still going to be played tonight?

Game is still on. It was an electricity problem (Or, lack there of) , not flooding. The lights are now on and the party is ready to get started.

When I left the district a little after 11 today, the game was still on for tonight. NW has wide spread power outages this morning because of downed trees and power lines. We also have several roads that have high water as of now. For those of you coming to the game tonight from Rt. 23, you will not notice anything out of the ordinary as far as the roads are concerned.

Sorry, the radio actually didn't say why Northwest cancelled school and I made the assumption that since they were talking about flooding out that way and downed trees that that was the issue. And yes the date/time stamp is kind of off on this board currently.
