My daughter came inside night before last and said that she could hear the peepers outside!!! I saw a grasshopper by my pond the other day, and thought I must be seeing things.

I haven't heard the frogs but I did hear my first bluebird today. Didn't see it and looked for it but I heard it and I know that sound. Yea, bluebirds are back! But they're going to get really cold this weekend. :(

The other morning with all the birds singing, it sounded like a spring morning.

Ditto that - and not only "sounded" like - "felt" like a spring morning!
Our recent weather gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "Zero to 60", doesn't it?

I hope the peepers bury deep in the mud or somewhere to make it through this cold spell.

I just got in from feeding dogs and horses....I can't hardly feel my fingers to type!

Ozzie, you will have to ask for those directions again this summer. I am worried that alot of my fish may have died, beccause my pond water level got drasticaly low last summer because of having so little rain! No rain means dead fish.....hope they made it...

IN THE LONG GRASS BY THE WATER, SO WATCH YOUR STEP. AND LET'S GO IRONTON FIGHTING TIGERS, OHIO STATE BUCKEYES AND THE CINCINNATI BENGALS
