Rocky is certainly worthy of mention in this thread. It is hard to argue with the facts........

And we've now gone 3 days without any JayKlineFan crap. Yahoo!!!!!

Rocky is worth every worship he gets. When he hit that homerun at Pain Stadium when they were taking infield I died laughing because I knew that's what he was going for. He tried to act like it was no big deal, but I could tell he was on cloud nine...plus I hear he has some sweet inkwork on his arms.

BBS- I actually won a bet when Rocky did that. I bet my buddy $1 that the Rock would hit one out. LOL. Thanks Rock.

I've been catching for him before when he's hit HRs during infield-outfield. He says something like, "Man, the wind is really carrying the ball out of here today," or "Didn't think I caught that one. Didn't know my own strength."

I've been thinking about starting a Rocky Brunty Stories thread. Any interest? I've been around this guy since I was 11, so the stories have piled up.

Pitchers and Catchers yesterday.....just a few tidbits from "the legend."

"If you guys are playing just to play, then why are you playing for?"

"You guys have the nucleus to reach the pinnacle of your baseball careers!"

More to come I would bank on it...

I'm going to be compiling a master list of Rocky quotes soon. I have contacted some former players and the brainstorming will begin.

These types of sayings remind me of the old Southern baseball coach, Big Foose Wolf. I would love to hear some stories on them.

Just an idea, when Rockey retires in 50 years or so..lol...you should have a hog roast for former players and fans to come enjoy some stories. I am sure you can make this some type of a money maker if needed.

I think Coach Bowen of Eastern is one of the best in the League. This man is totally dedicated to the sport and to his team. He has spent countless hours working on the field on this own time and spend alot of his own money on it. He is also very rigid in practice and will not tolerate slacking off. He gets his kids to play the best ball they can. Being young, he should have many successfull seasons in the future.
