my updated forecast
my updated forecast
This is still on track to be a major event for our area.
Precipitation will develop Monday night. I expect the preciptation to start as all snow along and north of a Chillicothe to Marietta line. South of this line there will be a mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain. Significant accumulations are possible through early Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday. Enough warm air will move into to quickly change the precipitation to rain around Gallipolis and Portsmouth. Further north there can be a period of heavy freezing rain, snow or sleet with significant snow and ice accumulations. The most significant ice accumulations are expected along and just north of the Chillicothe to Athens and Marietta line. Heavy snow accumulations along and north of I-70.
Here is my county by county forecast.

I just want to know if I am going to have a snow day tomorrow.
Bottom line....
Yes or No?
You make that prediction correctly, NLP, and I will make you the official meteorologist of The Trailer Park.

I'll say it with you ONB, and in honor of Valentine's Day I think we should have a pair of ruby slippers like Dorothy to click our heels together, then if it does snow at least we'll have cool shoes.

Ironton will be less than 2 inches of snow total. I will say that by 9:30 a.m. ironton will be having an all rain event. The Sunoco, Dow and duke forcefield will hold true again and the brakes will hit about Franklin Furnace. I will say Portsmouth gets 4-6 inches and Instructor gets a day off. If Ironton is out of school, it will be a gift by the Super.
