Is Norm back at Chesapeake? haven't heard much from THE PEAKE since he left...wouldn't use the juggernaut title until they return to regional disappointments of the previous regime! Which is not a slap in the face; personally, I would be more happy with many, many regional losses compared to a fluke run to the state tourney, just me though!

regional disappointments, nice way of putting, and I must say real classy post (hince the sarcasim). I was apart of one of those "disappointments", and that is what it was, but there is no need to mock anyone over being one of the top 8 schools in the state, and representing SE Ohio very well. You haven't heard much? Norm has been gone now for all of what, 2 years. I woulnd't by any means call us a juggernaut anymore, but we are still a program that should be respected.

Whomever created this thread should go back and change it ot CHS vs Fed Hock, because they are the one's who are creating this misconception that Chesapeake is coming into this overly confident and arrogant.

Who said poor little anyone by the way. You are #5 seed, no one is over looking anyone.

hey peake - read my post again - i was commenting on a previous poster who brought up regional disappointments...i said i would gladly take the many, many trips to the regionals like THE PEAKE enjoyed in recent history as compared to a single run to the state...no disrespect intended at all!

I have been told that peake got to so many regionals because Norm was able to control the tournament draw and the tournament location to make an easy run to the regionals. However he couldn't advance from there because he finally got to play some teams with talent. This should be a good game and I think I'll make the drive to Jackson to see it. Good luck to both clubs

We are fans. I'll say it. I am overlooking this team.....players shouldnt but.......I as a fan ....... dont see this as much of a contest. Chesapeake will blow this team out. Get out of our way - -we are moving on - -your season is about to end. This is a message board - let fans be fans. Thanks for playing. Love Grandma.

So what can you tell me about Fed Hock? Do you now anything about them or are you just looking at the seeds? As a fan you should know these thing before you start ratteling your dentures. This will be a close game I hope your old heart can handle it. Fed Hock may not win this game, but you can be certain Peake will know they were in a game when its over. And just for the record I really dont care who wins Im not a fan or from either school. I like what I have seen from the Lancers and think they have the ability to win this game.

Lets see......similar opponents.
Fairland......FH lost by 14 Ches beat FAirland by 11 then by 1
River Valley...... FH won by 5 CHes won by 9 then by 30.

So - - I think thats a little telling of how this could go.

As far as I can tell there are no fluke runs to the state. You need to win around 5 or 6 games to get there.

Hmmm...

Waterford beats Trimble by 35.

Federal Hocking beats Trimble by 5.

Federal Hocking beats Waterford by 20.

I'm not certain FH wins by any means, and am curious to see how they handle the pressure. However, your reasoning shows the basketball IQ of the typical mawmaw.

Looking at like opponents is useless then? Ok - -your brilliant. Records mean nothing too I guess. Nothing really matters. Mmmm - -maybe coaches should just pull teams out of a hat when seeding. Chesapeake is the better seed....guess the coaches agree with me what the outcome should be. Good luck.

Federal Hocking will make a strong showing. Peake's Grandma can overlook them all she wants, but it will be darned hard to once Saturday's game is played. This group of boys are all heart and determination. I believe early in the season many said they'd be lucky to finish 3rd or 4th in the TVC. Well they won it, outright. Many people said Waterford would wipe the floor with 'em. Didn't happen - twice. I know the lancers aren't overlooking peake. Seems beyond stupid to me for anyone, fan, coach or player, to overlook any opponent.

Of course fans are going to overlook teams. It's a little thing called confidence. They're not going to look at it like we have a shot at losing. What would it do to the team if all of their fans showed up expecting them to lose? It's not going to help them, let me tell you that.

Anyway, best of luck to the panthers. Leave it all on the court and come home with the 'w'.

I thought bandwagon was when people started liking a team cause everyone else did???

I think that was a pretty stupid comment. . . . but thats just coming from a more educated more athletic person, who's teams haven't changed since the day I was old enough to like the patriot taking a dump on the helmet pose for the decal. .

P.S.
your comment was also moronic because. . well . . . . .wheres the wagon??????? everybody hates the patriots and hates that i've always liked them

come on the risin wind. . were goin up around the bend. .
you can ponder purpetual motion. fix your mind on a crystal day. . always time for good conversation. .

If the Panthers shoot good, they probably win. If they shoot poorly, FH probably wins. Both teams have had good seasons.

Those 5 Peake teams that made it to Regional Finals, where only 8 teams in the state are still playing, were all good teams who lost to other good teams. The loses were disappointing. One loss was by 1 to North Adams. Another was in overtime to Sparta Highland who went on to win state by 20 points. Another was a loss to Bellaire and Nate Davis when a last second PJ Rase shot that would have meant overtime rolled around the rim twice before falling out. A fourth loss was to Matt Combs (?) and Unioto while Belpre won handily against an overachieving Peake team that was 24-0 with at least 10 victories of 5 points or less.

No amount of politics can get your team to the final 8. I hope I live long enough to see the Panthers in the Final Four, but I am awfully proud of all those Regional Finals teams and of every team the Peake has put on the court over the years.
