Obviously, you weren't sitting close enough to hear what was going on. Lamb was talking to his dad who was sitting on the bottom row of the bleachers on the visitors side, where he always sits. The ref mistakenly thought Lamb was arguing a call against another player. The more Lamb tried to explain himself to the ref, the more it looked like he was arguing. The ref approached Lamb later in the game and Lamb was able to clear things up. It's very easy to jump to conclusions in the heat of the game.

It simply does not matter who he was talking to. When the ref says no more or be quiet, you be quiet.
If Buck took one for your team as you say, is he going to get tossed out of every close Fairland game the rest of the way?
For your team's sake and the perception of the people in your community I hope not, because you will quickly become the Jerry Springer of high schools hoops. You have a fine team and they deserve better.
Good Luck to he Dragon's the rest of the way!

Judge what are you talking about? How was I acting childish before I was tossed? I will always stick up for my team and players I just happen to be loud about it. I was yelling at Michael not the ref because he was still arguing with the ref. I had not made any derragotory statements towards the refs. Like you suck! Trust me when I tell ya I know when I've crossed the line and that line wasn't crossed last night by me IMO. I guess it is not right for fans to question calls by the refs right. I just happen to be the loudest.Judge why would you call the AD to try to get somebody in trouble. When the man and cops could see I wasn't going to be a problem. The ref that threw me out has eyeballed me for awhile. Why do the refs pay attention to what is being said in the crowd. I used to be a ref and I never paid attention to the crowd let alone threw anybody out. Yes you might hear things and unless they are cursing or making threats IMO you let it go.
I noticed you as soon as I walked into the gymnasium bucking red. I made a comment to my friend in the 1st quarter that "The guy in the green hooded sweatshirt won't make it until the end of the game." You have passion, but man you need to tame it down. You were out of your seat yelling onto the court at the refs probably 10 times in the 1st half...well for as much of it as you were there of. I could see the justification for tossing you. Swearing doesn't have to happen to get tossed you were just making a mockery of the referees. I can't see how the game can be enjoyable for anyone sitting around you...like I said you have passion, but you need to turn it into positive energy for your team man.
Well I guess the good thing Red is we are going to the convo next week so they wont be able to hear ya as well.Unless it bounces off of the ceiling and echoes. Hey I am glad somebody is passionate. The rest of our fans just set there on their hands anyway. And once again no students hardly at all.We have to do something about that. Just hope you work the officials a little better this week and stay for the whole contest.

Buck, I have a feeling that you are probably a good person that has a real passion for his team. With that I have no problem. However, when more people in the gymnasium are paying more attention to your actions than the ballgame, it is a distraction. I, like a previous poster above, said to the person beside me "That guy won't be here long!" I also told my father that if he ever saw me act like that when my son is playing and I quote "Beat the mortal hell out of me!" He responded "Believe me I will!"
With that said, if you are a former official you certainly must know that it is required that any fan that is ejected from a game MUST leave the premises immediately! My problem is that Mr. Kight not only allowed you to stay in the cafetorium and watch the game on the big screen but rewarded your actions with a cold Pepsi! I agree you seemed perfectly harmless. However, when you were asked to leave the gymnasium, in my opinion you have lost your privilege to watch the game. Also, what would have happened to our school district if you would have not been so kind after the game and waited on the official and caused some sort of harm to him? You guessed it! A huge law suit against the Jackson City School District, which by the way I am a taxpayer in. It is clear that both you and Mr Kight used very poor judgment on Saturday night. I am not only contacting the AD but will also be contacting the official so he may take the appropriate actions with the Ohio High School Athletic Association to make sure this does not happen here again. Please remember that there is a fine line between passion and stupidity! Good Luck to you and the Dragon's the rest of the season.

Its amazing to me that players are expected to zone everything out while on the floor, yet refs can't just concentrate on their job. I've seen very few good refs this season and I'm in favor of paying more to get better quality. Admission for 5 or 6 bucks a person could surely help in a small raise for these fellas. IMO when a ref throws someone out he's trying to be part of the show and draw attention to himself. I remember at the convo last year some of the student sections chanted some pretty bad stuff to individual players but that is allowed. Yet a ref can't take a couple people yelling "You're horrible, open your eyes" is idiotic to me. Back on track, I hope the Dragons continue with the intensity and beat North Adams.
I've seen students get kicked out of games for less than what this guy was doing. If you have any kind of athletic director at all, he will handle the student section and refs won't have to become involved. I don't think it was just the yelling that got this man ejected on Saturday. I think it was the coming out of his seat from about 4 rows up to about 2 rows off the court and pointing his finger at the officials that probably did the trick. Good thing was, he was not confrontational when they escorted him out and looked like he knew it was coming. I commend him on not escalating the scene even more, but still agree with the ejection.
Come on. When several people on the other side are talking to each other and saying, "Jeez. Look at that guy over there. What a tool. He needs to calm down or he won't last long," then I'd say it was a little more than, "Come on ref. You're horrible."
It was likely a combination of verbal bashing, and wild physical behavior. Clearly, the behavior was disruptive to the game, as many people were noticing it.
Btw, I have heard from multiple people that Fairland's team behavior is a disgrace. I'm talking Alexander, Federal Hocking, Chesapeake, Crooksville, and media members. The radio guys were just flat ripping Fairland's behavior the entire game.
Sentences were being said over the air like, "Chesapeake has a group of guys you can cheer for. These Fairland kids are embarrassing, and the type of kids you like to see lose."
"There's a foul on Fairland. It was an obvious foul, but of course the Fairland player is protesting. What a surprise."
"Check out this guy. He's strutting around like he's a big timer or something. Very good player, but he acts like a punk."
It's funny that Chesapeake won over a TVC team, and yet, the guys on the air were speaking very highly of them. It must not be sour grapes. Plus, when the sources become multiple and diverse, it becomes pretty clear that attitude is a problem.
I think we all know where the kids get it. They've probably been "great and perfect" since childhood. I would guess these kids have been ushered around the state, and winning in a variety of sports. I would also guess these kids have had their egos stroked for years now. Just a guess.

I'm confused Orestes. Were you in the gym watching the "embarrassing" behavior by Fairland or somewhere listening to the radio broadcasters root against them? You know it's funny. I've never read anything on here before about the behavior of the Fairland players or fans until their win against Alexander. As for the punk "strutting around" like a "big timer", it sounds to me like you've got a personal beef. Bottom line, Fairland is Convo bound and I seriously doubt anyone's losing sleep over your opinion of their behavior. Maybe basketball is too harsh for your gentle disposition. Perhaps you should try knitting.
I saw them against Crooksville. Like I said, people from every other school system represented that day were bashing Fairland's behavior. When it's coming from several different places, I think it's a bit more than sour grapes.
I am not a fan of Alexander. I am a fan of Federal Hocking who made it to 5 Federal Hocking games this year. Fairland was not one of them.
I will say this, Chesapeake's players were great. They played hard. They kept their mouths shut. They played with class.
If I had a "beef" as you say, I would have a beef with Chesapeake, as they were the team that ended my team's run. I actually have always liked Fairland since FH's visit to Proctorville in the Spring of 2005 for a baseball DH. Those were a class group of kids. Apparently, from what I saw and from the word of several people, the new group is not quite the same.
Put it together. Talented group of kids, and have been since they were young (my assumption). Parents running down rows of bleachers to scream at officials, and being tossed from the game. Players acting like punks. It all makes perfect sense.
BTW, did you notice my quotes? Those weren't things I said. Plus, when you brag about the guy's talent, but rip on the behavior, I doubt there is much of a beef. Why not go all out and say he is overrated?

Orestes says..."I'm talking Alexander, Federal Hocking, Chesapeake, Crooksville, and media members."
Let's see who you are talking about...all teams Fairland has beaten this year. Hmmmm...makes you wonder. As far as Chesapeake fans trashing Fairland, they are rivals, yet they stayed for the game Sat. night in support. If the media members you are referring to are the same supposed adults you are talking about making unprofessional comments over the air, then I'd have to give their opinions very little credit. As far as the Crooksville game, the officials were telling the Fairland coaches to take their kids out of the game because Crooksville was playing dirty, trying to undercut and so forth. When Fairland visited YOUR school, FH, your fans commented to FHS' what a great ballclub they were and so forth. Let me reiterate, this is the first time I have read / heard comments regarding this basketball teams conduct. In your posts you say things like, "I'm guessing" and "assuming". How can an adult post the replies that you have with admittedly no knowledge, just assumptions and guesses? You do not know these kids, and they are kids!!! You have no right to insult any of them, let alone make grand generalizations about the character of 14 young men you know absolutely nothing about. To worsen the situation, you are posting this trash on a forum where some believe everything as truth. If you'd like to criticize the adults, have at it. We can take it. But your comments toward these young men are unacceptable in the very least. Might want to take a humanity check next time you look in the mirror...or do you enjoy the image that looks back at you and says..."I'm something! I try to tear down teenagers!" Impressive...
