I think PB III has it right. If this Ironton Team comes in thinking that Peebles is just going to let them win, the Tigers will have a long trip home. Win and advance has to be the mindset. I'm calling this one a toss up, but as always, GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!
I have one sin, and that is that I want to win too badly.--Woody Hayes

I would guess that honet still belongs to Coach Lutz, untill he wins a state tournament or 2, and win a lot more games...
Lafon is a great coach though
I am glad to be an Ironton fan when we have to debate who is the better coach, because that means we have some outstanding people coaching our kids! I for one am glad both men are at the helm in their respective sports and wish them to stay a long, long time!
GO TIGERS!!!
Yah, it could certainly be a lot worse. Just look at Portsmouth West.
Once again you missed the whole point of the message just like someone else! Also what does this have to do with Portsmouth West

A footnote about these boys. Since they are leaving too early to attend church Sunday morning, they are having their own Bible study on the bus while traveling to the game. Just one more reason to be proud of these boys. On the game end, Coach LaFon WILL have these boys ready come game time. GO TIGERS!!

Good Luck to the Tigers tomorrow and former Pointers, especially, Marc Carter, Dustin Green, Cody Taylor, Robbie Webb and coaches Lafon and Hopkins!
Re: Ironton vs Peebles 2-24
Dustin Greene was a former Redmen before he came to Ironton If I recall. Anyhow Coach Lafon will have the boys ready to play and win tomorrow I am sure of it! Good luck and I hope everyone has a safe trip up and back GO TIGERS

I did hear today that the on-line site will be broadcasting the game over the internet. I don't know if it will be live or on delay, my guess is that it would be delay. Also, how many of Ironton's players are from other school's besides Ironton? I know Coach Lafon personally and didn't realize he had several South Point players follow him to Ironton. What about the boy from Rock Hill?

All of these boys have been at Ironton for Several years with the exception of the Taylor boy and this is his first season.None of the players followed him from SP.

Amen Corner,
Thanks for the reply. I was just thinking that if all those kids came from South Point with Coach Lafon, then there must be some outstanding talent in that part of Lawrence County especially with South Point going 20 - 0 this year. Good luck to both teams on Sunday, but I do hope that the Indians and Green Devils are both victorious over their Lawrence County counterparts at the Convo!!
