I am going to go out on a limb and say this game will go down to the final few minutes. I know most think that GM will roll in this game. I have seen both GA and GM this year, and while Gallia has lost some kids for various reasons, I think they will be in the thick of this. Why???
1) Coach Osborne - He has done a fantastic job of finishing strong with this team after he and the players could have packed it in. Nobody could have blamed them if they had just played out the season.
2) Greenfield is not an explosive offensive team. Therefore, if you can defend them, the game will be in the 45 to 55 range.
3) Greenfield is very young. Though a tournament tested and tough team, there are some young kids who have not played at the Convo. I beleive Webster could be the difference, but I have not seen him put up big numbers like I thought he would this year.
3) Strength of Schedule - I will take a beat down here, but Gallia has played a rough and tough schedule with the likes of Chilly, Zanesville, Warren, etc.etc. Greenfield has played some tough games, but I don't think their schedule has them really big game tourney ready. Coach V. brings that to the table, but his young kids have to respond.
4) Convo - As mentioned before, the young kids of GM and GA will both be nervous and have to get used to the atmosphere and shooting background at the Convo.
Overall, you have to favor Greenfield (based on record), but I beleive if GA takes care of the ball and plays D, anything can happen in the last 2 minutes.
GO CAVS!!! GO SEOAL!!!

gahs,
excellent article...In reading it, I see Coach O. gameplan for Greenfield. It will be the same. I don't see either team getting over 45 shots. Points will be at a premium.
I also see that GA has won 5 of their last 8. My chilly math tells me they were at 3-10 at one point. As I have continued to say, hats off to these kids and Coach O. They will not lay down for McClain.
GO CAVS!!! GO SEOAL!!!
