COngrats to Huntington on a great game they played extremly hard and deserved to win. Also, congrats to a Pantehr team that wasn't expected to do what they did.

Huntington is a good team, but by no means was this the best team CHesapeake saw all season. I would have to rank Huntington behind Wheelersburg and South Point. What it came down to last night was match up problems. This is the biggest team Chesapeake has seen this season, and that created some big problems on the glass. Too many 2nd and 3rd chance oppurtunities on the offensive boards. The two borthers are extremly good players, not great athlete's, but just smart and sloid fundamentaly.

THe problem with Chesapeake all season has been that this group defensively isn't very good. There is no lock down defender, and once the pass goes away we haven't played good off the ball defense in a long long time. One of the biggest differences in defensive philosphies is if you watched chesapeake teams of the past in man to man, they never extended their d past the 3 pt line, the new philosiphy is pick them up once they cross mid court. Last night the guard for Huntington were breaking our defense down.

Anyways, great season Peake, can't wait untill next year.

Well Peake, looking at Peake's schedule I'd say it was pretty darn close, to being one of the best teams, if not the best, you've seen all season. No way would I rate South Point above them either.

No disrespect to either of the brothers from Huntington, but Mayo is on another level than either one of them. He is a legit d1 prospect who can take a game over at anytime. Towards the later part of the season I was informed that he was playing with severe shin splints, that is why his production diped especially late. Beau Weed is better than given credit for as well. He is much better than any of the Huntington players outside of the two brothers. Inside now I would say that would be an even match up, but lets see how those two brothers match up against a 6'3 Mayo, and a 6'1 Weed. The tourny isn't always about the best team, it is about Match up's, and IMHO Huntington doesn't match up with SP. Wheelersburg on the other hand is much more physical than Huntington, and I look for this to be a deciding factor in this game.

Chesapeake has lived by the three in several games this season, and you know how it goes, you live by the three you die by it.
