Re: Soc Predictions for next year
I can't imagine that Evan's dad and brother have let him not play soccer. I'm not sure if he played club soccer, but I heard he was planning to. Evan's got a lot of natural skill, but you definitely do have to keep working on things to keep it up.

I understand that a forum is for everyones OWN opinion and input, but why are you in here when you dont know anything about the sport??I mean you even said so yourself!
Once again your lack of sarcastic knowledge has let you down...I have played soccer since I was old enough to do so. Im good friends with our head "futbol" coach and even though I played football instead of soccer in high school I would attend many many soccer games.

Please, please, please edit the end of that last comment. That is incredibly offensive. Lets keep the talk on the SOC.
I haven't heard a lot about the SOC 1. I'm much more familiar with 2, does anyone have any information?

Riepo, I've got plenty to say,BUT i prefer not to bring myself down to your level.I fortunately, am not like some people who live in the area of 52 and Ohio River Road who can dish it out but can't take it!
Have any schools started open fields or any kind of conditioning yet??

Re: Soc Predictions for next year
I would doubt that open field has started yet. The snow just melted
Open fields will probably start toward the beginning of May. I know that Coach Boll at Wheelersburg is quite involved in the track program so I'm sure he'll be waiting a bit.

Yes, with Boll being the track coach he cant work with his players as soon as possiable. I do know that there are about 10 kids on the burg team playing on an indoor team in Chilly. Its not the same as outside but it keeps the kids working on ball controll, passing and seeing the field a little better.

Yeah your right, you live in a town that hates wheelersburg just for the fact that we succeed in everything pertaining to athletics and education. You can say we're arrogant and snotty always actin like we're "all that"...well as a matter of fact we are and have been for the past umpteen years. We take pride in our excellence in sports and in the classroom. You sir, i am sure can take it, cause your used to us "givin it" to you all season every season. Hate all you want it only gives us reason to try even harder and savor the victory more and more. In fact you replying to this message, which will probably recieve critical reactions that I will not listen to, will once again prove that you cant lower yourself to our supposed level because you sir are already at the bottom.
Burgboy, are playing on an indoor team? I know some of the 10 that are but im not sure exactly who they all are.

The ones that are on the team are Aaron White, Ethan Fight, Devin Boggs, Alex Provasnik, Dillan Lewis, Chris Allen, Robert Robinson, Andrew Jenkins, Hailey Ruggles, Kyle Brooks,

Re: Soc Predictions for next year
maintenanceman, I know the loss of Lewis from The SW Squad will definitely impact the Jeeps upcoming seasons, because he was the second leading scorer on the team and top 5 I believe in assist. I still look for Webster to have a decently strong team for the SOC 1 since they started 5 or 6 freshmen. Webster lost their keeper and a couple of defenders due to graduation, but no great offensive abilities.
Valley is a little unpredictable as people saw a couple of years. I look for them to finish either 2nd or 3rd in the league this year.
I look for New Boston to have a "rebuilding year". They had a decent season, losing the SOC Championship to SW in the final game of the season last season. They graduated a lot of seniors from what I heard on an already small # team. Look for them to either 3rd or 4th.
Clay from what I heard lost most of their talent to graduation, Robinson is the only name that really stuck out in my mind. The only way I see them competing this year in the SOC is if they happen to get a freshmen phenomenon that no one's heard of or they get a foreigner. Either 3rd or 4th place finish

Re: Soc Predictions for next year
I agree that the SOC I teams will have to make some major adjustments this year due to the amount of talent and players they've all lost.It will take a lot of rebuilding and good coaching to bring these teams back.

Yes this may be true but you have to remember the SOCII schools are also a lot bigger than the SOCI schools.

Ya, and half of the SOCI schools dont have a football team either(New Boston, SW, Clay). The only one being Valley. If the SOCII schools didnt have football that would make their soccer teams a whole lot better.
Re: Soc Predictions for next year
I'm not saying that it wouldn't make them better but just because a school doesn't have a certain sport then that doesn't mean that they're gonna be good at another sport that is played during the same season.Even if the school has the numbers to have some depth, you still have to have some talent and a good coaching staff.
Re: Soc Predictions for next year
What im saying is that if all the football players played soccer it would make the team better.

Re: Soc Predictions for next year
It's hard to find a kid in high school to focus on just one sport these days...Im participating in 3 this year and once one is done then its on to the next.
