Re: TVC 2008
Do most of the TVC football coaches require their players to run track if they do not play baseball? If not, why as speed in high school football is king. I notice that a lot other good programs in the state do. Also, do a lot of high school football coaches also coach track in the area?

Re: TVC 2008
I think everyone should reguire the football players to run track. Or at least recommend it. I know Eastern football coaches have never advocated running track, and maybe even discouraging it. Its a shame.
The TVC will be fun again this year. . .
It will be interesting to see the girls distance races, as always. Last year Emily Skidmore won the 800, 1600, and 3200 last year. She'll probably do it again this year. Waterford and Eastern tied for the Girls Hocking devision last year. Eastern should be better, getting some good freshman runners and girls that will be able to round out the team with field events.
The guys mile will be a good race as well. Brandon Crislip and Cody Straller both went under 4:40 last year getting 2nd and 3rd. They both made it to State as well.
Thats all I got

I think Southern will improve this year. They pretty much have everybody back from last year.

Southern?
Will they have many runners out?
If they do, best get into some better meets. I never see them until conference.

How many football players from each of the TVC schools are running, in particular skill position players? If they are not playing baseball, they all should be.

Re: TVC 2008
On the girls side, hope to see Eastern make a run for the TVC title again(hopefully winning it alone). I hear their distance runner is back after being out last year due to health reasons, and a couple quick freshman are running this year, possibly a few more added to the field events. Should be a good year. Good luck Eastern!

Re: TVC 2008
I heard they are missing a few girls off the State 4x400 team which will cut out about 20-30 points for the meet.
