Re: Joe Burrow getting 2nd team reps
Saw a picture of him during practice and he looks like he has been working out with the weights.

Thought so too, Noreply. He looks strong and filled out more. He looks like they have put 25 pounds of muscle on him already. Bet they got him lifting like he's never seen or done before. Probably a good diet too. Players lift hard in high school but college level lifting is far above with how they do things.noreply66 wrote:Saw a picture of him during practice and he looks like he has been working out with the weights.

Re: Joe Burrow getting 2nd team reps
Always good to see a SEO young man do well in D1, but having only seen his press clippings, I have to ask is he the real deal? My doubt rests simply on the level of competition normally found in SEO.

If he doesn't play at all, he'll be back logged as a Redshirt year.
If everything goes as planned, he'll Redshirt this year, be the #2 for 2 years under JT, and then compete with Danny Clarke for the starting job in 2018.
At that point he'd have 2 years of eligibility left and Danny would have all 4 coming of a redshirt year.

DO YOU THINK THAT TORRANCE GIBSON AND BURROWS WILL BE QB'S OF THE FUTURE. OR HAVE THEY PERMANENTLY DECIDED ON GIBSON AS A RECIEVER.

Re: Joe Burrow getting 2nd team reps
Gibson might not play, period!
He'll be a WR, and should be.
During his recruitment an NFL guy said that if he played QB, he'd be dynamic and a solid dual threat college QB, but if he switch to WR at the beginning, then by his last year, he'd be the next Randy Moss.
He has an "I'm stupid, and don't want to go to class" issue right now, and hasn't even been allowed to dress.

Re: Joe Burrow getting 2nd team reps
Why would someone as talented as Joe Burrow sit for 3 yrs? There are QBs all over this country at the FBS and FCS levels who are as good or better than what Ohio puts on the field. And the Buckeyes have not exactly been a QB factory through the years, nor NFL PREP 101 for the position.

I always wondered why he didn't go to a MAC or Big 12 school where he could start 3 or more years for sure. He knew what he was signing up for and as long as he's happy I wish nothing but the best for him. Who knows with the way OSU QB'S have been he may be the starter next year.

I don't see him transfer unless they do not give him playing time next year.

Yeah he won't play next year unless an injury happens and I personally don't see JT going pro until after senior season.
