Thanks for the radio information, I was able to listen to all the game here in the great state of Alabama. Great game, Smitty took control and the rest of the team followed right behind him.
I can say this, there are 25 Alabama fans that love the Fort Frye Cadets!

I feel like Smith doesn't get enough respect.He will be all state and plays big in big time game.All I hear is how good Winters is but he gets shut down by a 5-9 guard.Chan was awesome today and will only get better won't be susprised to see Cadets at regionals.

IMHO..... The most complete game played by any Cadet team, since Tyler Engle's Sr. year (2006, I think) when they beat the highly rated Bellaire tean Led by Nate Davis, and their big 6'10" center.

I was worried about the court at OUE being open but the Cadets shot awesome.Smith could not be checked by any Blue Eagle.I think this years Cadets team could do work in the District.

Magnolia shot only four-- 4-- foul shots the entire game. Fort Frye played man defense the whole game.It appeared to this neutral obsever that the officials got caught up in the David v goliath idea and swallowed their whistles when Magnolia was on offense. Fort Frye played a super game and Magnolia did not, but only --four foul shots.

Most of 16 free throws FF made in the 4th were when Magnolia was fouling on purpose at the end.Magnolia is a good team but the Cadets outplayed them.Shon Smith was just the best player on the court.

One thing the FF tean dosen't do is slap at the ball and create fouls.
With only seven varsity players(the others only played JV's) the Cadets learned early on that these type fouls were very costly.
They have had very few boys foul out of games this year.

Yea that was Engles JR year....2006 Lost to Ironton Regionals 2007 Lost to Tusky Valley District Final 08 Lost to Tusky Valley District Semi 09 lost Trail Sectional Final 10.Lost Ferry Sectional Final 11.Lost to MC sectional final.....This team has to get to district atleast to be a success.Most teams in this area would be happy with making it to sectional final but 3 straight losses its getting old.This year they have a bye into the sectional final.The thing about those 3 losses that hurts is in all 3 cases they were the favorite and the better team.
