How will Portsmouth Wheelersburg and Ironton be in 2008?
These 3 schools have a long line of success on the ball diamond. How will these 3 schools fare this season? It seems that these 3 schools have had a long rivalry against each other. Portsmouth and Ironton better this season? Wheelersburg still on top? If you have information, please share. I would love schedules for these 3 schools as well.

Go here for Burg schedule.

Portsmouth should be a solid ball club with the Harcha triplets returning. Pitching would be the biggest issue I think although John Harcha is a pretty decent pitcher. Not sure about anyone else on the PHS squad.
Have no information on Ironton. I know they lost a key pitcher/player in Chad Miller and a couple other solid seniors.
As you stated, I would think that all three will be very competitive.

Wheelersburg will be ridiculous. Tons of pitching and depth.

They'll be ok
I don't know if they will have the pitching or hitting to compete in the SOC.

Ironton's boys and girls are playing at the fields located at Dow Chemical in Haverhill.

Gee, I was hoping Ironton would use the senior league field at the LL complex. Love that short porch.

bama
That porch at Ironton you spoke of couldn't be any shorter than the Burg's fences could it? If it was even Odle could hit it out then!!

Senior league has a short porch, but Dow has a pretty short porch as well. Hmmmmmmm.............This Tiger is wondering about the home run record.

Portsmouth should be OK
Im thinking the freshman team, that onl;y lost a couple of games as junior high kids, and freshman..should make an impact as sophmores.

bucknut23, it is shorter if you can believe it. Wild Bill would be lucky to hit a baseball out of there but a golf ball would be a different story.

Tobias...I really do not see you as being a traitor,as much as a confused young man who wandered to close to the river and got sucked in by the current and never made it back from the KY shores.(LOL)
Thanks for keeping us updated on the baseball scene. I sure hope to get back to watch a few of these games also, as baseball is actually my favorite sport. The updates sure help an oldtrojan such as me stay on top of things.
Wish the best of luck to all area teams, especially the Trojans.
