As usual, I knew this would be a backyard brawl grudge match that would come down to a TD or less. Last year West won in double OT, and this year Minford wins in OT. As both teams played their hearts out, it's too bad there had to be a team to lose this game. In overtime, on a 4 &1 the last play of the game, I was glad to see the Falcons have the grit to go for the win and not tie it up again.

I don`t think this game should have went to overtime period. The Falcon`s should have scored the last time they were driving, and not settled for a field goal. Wasted too much time!

The good: Great ending to game...gutsy call from first year coach to go for the win instead of chip shot FG.

The bad: Both teams are about as crazy and exciting as an Enya concert. Neither even attempted to attack the middle of the secondary which was constantly void of defenders. When did pass was always toward the sideline.

Was just glad to be able to watch a close game on a Friday night though...good thing game ended when it did cause crazy fog moved in as soon as it was over.

I thought the same thing. When I saw them go for 2 on first score I thought maybe they didn't have a kicker. But on second score the darn near kicked it over the field house. You are correct, if they kick the first one they probably win 14-10.

Maybe because that was the end of the field that was torn up? Not sure

That did hurt West, and I was scratching my head why they didn't take the PAT kick instead of going for 2 that early in the game. It was the first quarter with West up 6-3.

Minford kicked just fine from that area. Although, Minford did miss one 37 attempt wide right from that area of the field, but knocked one thru from 32 with time expiring.

He is a hard nosed kid, thats for sure. Not knocking the other players, but if every kid on the team had his grit and heart....wow.
