Waterford vs. Worthington Christian

No one is talking about this because no one gives Waterford a chance.

The other site, I do not belong, has a thread on it, but only 1 person knows anything about Waterford. Most of the posters are Worthington folks screaming that they do not recruit or control enrollment in order to win at sports.

In reality Waterford has a very slim chance, but they played well in the districts.

Captain Jack, your right on JJ if you say anything about the Private, Christain, Prep, and/or the Acadamy schools you are likely to either be deleted or get a suspension from JJ. It is all about the big city schools, recuiting, and transfers there, which is unfair to the little guys(rural) schools. Heres to the hope that Waterford can knock down one of the big guys tonight.

Way to go Wildcats, a good showing tonight against the #3 ranked WC. You played a good ballgame. Nothing to hang your haed about. Congratulations on a great season. Thanks to all the seniors. You will be missed and best of luck in the future. Wildcat Country had alot to be proud about this year with both the Lady Cats and Wildcats having great seasons.

I'll be the first to admit I was wrong!! Sounds like Waterford held their own and played a heck of a ballgame. Congrats on a great season Wildcats.

Congrats on one of the best basketball seasons in Waterford history! You should be proud. One thing is for sure Waterford earned some respect by the way we played in the tournament. It was good to see this team finally play to their potential and gel as a team, although it took 20 games. It happened at the right time. Waterford played a good ballgame tonight, but it would have took a great ballgame to knock off worthington christian any night especially the way they shot lights out tonight. That was really unbelievable, i've never seen a team that could light it up like that. To say that Worthington Christian is very good would be the understatement of the year. They are solid....they are all very quick, fundamental, good ball handlers, and they pass well and spread the floor. They have very good spacing and are well coached. Oh yea, they can shoot too. Waterford hung tough and played a good 7 mins of the first quarter and had a 3 point lead. The turning point was when Hoge and Cunningham came out. They sat for 1 minute and WC capitalized on it by getting easy baskets and going on an 8-0 run. That run continued to a 12-0 run even after they returned. But in my mind that was the difference in the ballgame. Waterford outscored WC in the 2nd half, and was right with them early on. Just closed the 1st poorly and opened the 2nd sloppy. Other than that the cats played well. Waterford got 3 points combined out of Tornes and Hendershot. They had to step if Waterford was to pull off the upset. But it wasnt to be tonight.Waterford got a very tough draw, I believe we would have beaten Harvest Prep or Oak Hill. But who knows, it was a good season. Good luck to WC, that is the best basketball team I've seen this year. Hope WC wins state.
