Re: Final: Oak Hill 55 Harvest Prep 48
55-48....WOW
I couldn't even get my updates to go through on the other thread...too much business!
Buzz is now doing the postgame.
Ondera with about 30 seconds left took a charge, grabbed a rebound off Borden's missed ft and drilled 2 ft...in about 10 game seconds...then threw the pass to Slone for a layup and drilled 2 final ft....all in the last 30 seconds. Not bad.
The Oaks went from the 6:40 mark of the 4th until the 3:30 mark without a SHOT.....never got a shot!...but regroupled and fought off the press and nearly everyone stepped it up big late!
GREAT GAME TO LISTEN TO...wish I could've been there.
Borden and Ondera sounded like they tore up the 3rd according to Buzz.
17/24 and 15/18 lin the 2nd half for Oak Hill...not bad for a 50% team on the year
Buzz didn't do a scoring rundown.....but he mentioned Ondera and Borden A LOT

Those two lads are good kids, Hated to see the turmoil in Jackson, but it seems to be getting better. (from the outside looking in)

Way to go Oaks.
Go basically into Harvest Prep's backyard and get the win.
First regional final in school history?
Good luck against WC. Will be the same situation as with HP. Will be playing in their backyard also.

Don't know how many J.D. ended up with but he had the first 10 and really got it going for the Oaks. I would guess he ended up with 18

Very nice win for the Oaks, impressive! I'm sure Coach Kreischer had a few notes on Harvest Prep + Coach Thornton..
Should be a good game against Worthington Christian. Watched them play last year, and the Oaks are going to have to play a darn near perfect game.. WC is very fundamental and very disciplined. Oaks have to make sure they defend the 3, because WC will put up the points quick if not!

Great win for the Oaks. Sounds like JD Hale had a really big first half and Ryan Borden really got going later in the game. Also, some dap to Jessie Slone for canning some really big free throws down the stretch. I sure Persin has to be pleased with the a much improved free throw %.
It just breaks my heart that a bunch of country boys go up to Columbus and throwdown a Prep school.

Isn't Oak Hill a Prep School? I assumed they were due to all of the transfers..
Maybe I'm wrong??

I think it is comical that someone from South Webster would comment on Oak Hill's transfers after their state championship, which would never have happened without a transfer. Can you say "hypocrite"?
