Re: jr high baseball
Could someone tell me if there is a particular league for this? If it is not school affiliated then is it a league. I would like to see other OVC schools do this in the spring. I was reading where SP will try to put a team together next year. If it is Jr. High, then can it be 6th and 7th grade? When does the league ususally start and finish? When are the games usually played?
Re: jr high baseball
I know some Scioto County schools and Lawrence County( Ironton and Coal Grove for sure) schools had teams in the past. I think all the OVC teams should get together and have a 6-7 and an 8th grade team if possible. You could do this if it is not school sponsored otherwise the 6th graders would be ineligible to play. SP now has a jr/sr league sized field all to itself because the High school will be playing at their new field next year. This will allow the middle school age kids to practice and play games without worrying about schedule conflicts. Some one needs to do this to get the programs a head start before the jr/sr season gets underway!
Re: jr high baseball
This needs to get started so that Lawrence County and Scioto don't have to travel all the way to Chillocothe to play games. Is anyone interested? I know SP has interest in a 6-7th and an 8th grade team.
