Re: Athens @ wellston 2/14
Its a pretty big game for the Athens ... They still have title aspirations ... I'm gonna have to make the long trip to Wellston solo (couldn't talk anyone into going down Tuesday - I think some of my fellow Bulldogs fans are getting lazy on me) ... But of all the Tuesday match-ups in the TVC - this looks to be the biggest ... Nelsonville-York @ Vinton is a big game as well ... My motto though is: when in doubt - and can't decide which game to watch - go cheer on the 'Dogs ... lol

If wellston takes care of business and with a little help from nelsonville. We could have a 3 or 4 way tie for the tvc, Is this correct

Your two games back ... VC still has to play Wellston and Nelsonville-York ... So yes, mathmatically the Rockets are still in it.
Re: Athens @ wellston 2/14
Long trip!? What 35 minutes? It's not an advantage for Nelsonville to play Eastern Brown at the Convo you can't whine about a 30 mile trip on a 4 lane.93Bulldog wrote:Its a pretty big game for the Athens ... Re: Athens @ wellston 2/14
lol ... Long compared to me walking up to the high school here on the Plains ... Or the 5 minute drive to Nelsonville ... or the 7 minute drive to Trimble ... or the 9 minute drive to Albany ... Maybe I'm just spolied from living in the center of 5 county schools.
Re: Athens @ wellston 2/14
... a must win for Athens going into Wellston just as it is a must win for Wellston having to get the "W" at home - HECK!!! every game in the last week of the season is a must win LOL ... sounded like Coach Skinner was playing shorthanded vs Logan the other night - injured bodies, players sucking it up and playing sick ... hopefully the Bulldogs are at least near full strength for tonights big TVC matchup - it should be a dandy ... If I can't get out on the road ,I'll be catching this one on the radio for sure ...
Re: Athens @ wellston 2/14
Hopefully Wellston can continue their undefeated home record this year. I predict a close win for the first time on the new court. Go Rockets!

On an emotional night in Wellston in the first game back in the high school gym since the passing of Coach Derrow, Wellston will overpower the Bulldogs inside and win by 15+.

Athens 19-10 at the half. They switched to a 2-3 zone early in the game. Wellston is simply just passing around the three point line.
