I agree with Boilermaker
Wellston had some talent
It was just young talent
and most were playing their 1st year of varsity football
They also are returning Lockard who can do just about anything on the field
Probably the best all around football player in the tvc this coming year
I can definitely make 2 confident predictions
1) Wellston will win some games
2) Wellston will be in the top half of the tvc standings
Any other predictions would just be absurd 2 make at this point

Mobman, have you seen Wellston schedule? It is brutal!!!! They basically took our schedule from last year, Jackson, Minford, Waverly, Gallia Academy they are 0-4 before they hit the league schedule. And there is only one team that the Rockets can beat in the league, Alexander at home, but they lost to them last year. They are on the road to Belpre, Athens and Meigs not easy trips or places to win. Nelsonville and Vinton County at home, and the Rockets will not beat the Buckeyes or the Vikings no matter where it is played. As matter of fact I am predicting the TVC-Ohio Championship will not be decided until week ten when the Buckeyes come to McArthur, the winner of that game will be the TVC Champion.

I am saying that the Rockets will be much improved
And comparing last years schedule to the Vikings schedule is not even worth doing
The Rockets played by far a tougher schedule
And why cant they beat the buckeyes they beat them this year

Yes in fantasy world they beat the Bucks......... Now back to reality Welstons schedule is brutal. I hope they win 5 games but that will be an uphill climb.

I dont see how anyone could look at the Rockets from last year and predict anything other than a rough year ahead. I look for them to be TVC bottom dwellers again this year, but hey anythings possible, just not likely. Good luck to the rockets on there upcomming football season, with that schedule they will need it.
Re: Any Predictions on T.V.C. Ohio?
I agree with pretty much everything that Hawkeye said. Wellston is in trouble.

You guys dont realize last years team had one player that ever played in a varsity game. This years team will be much better and will be able to compete with anyone in the league. All this is talk and only time will tell

All I am saying is look at last years schedule and this coming years schedule
this coming years schedule is easier although it will still be difficult
And look at last years experience compared 2 this coming years experience
I think that they will use last years season as motivation

Re: Any Predictions on T.V.C. Ohio?
vikes lost some hard teams and they will lose points, but i like a win in the books anyday better than a loss, wellston will be a better ball team this year but i dont think they will be fighting for a tvc chamionship!! but i think there will be a few teams fighting for it and i agree! i belive it will be the n.y. and v.c. game to decide the tvc, but once again good luck to all teams
Re: Any Predictions on T.V.C. Ohio?
has belpre's success spurred any of the people of belpre into backing the team this year? last years team overcame alot of "i don't care" in order to do really great things, does anyone care? i sure hope so. that team deserves a following. they took a little about as far as it could go!
Re: Any Predictions on T.V.C. Ohio?
Belpre is losing a lot to graduation. Senior players like Mike Waderker, Brian Walker, RJ Walker, Zack Kress, Mike Johnson, Tyler Cooper, Kyle Hamrick. These guys are going to be missed, and hard to replace. However, Belpre's players, coaches, and community have a new attitude, they believe they can win. Numbers are up, 55 signed up so far for nest season. Football is back in Belpre.
Go Eagles.

Good point Fasteach
I believe Belpre is the favorite until sum1 takes them down
They are the defending TVC Champs
And I dont think the Vikes will be as successful as they think
I have been hearing about VC football and how they will dominate for the past few years
But they havent even gotten into the playoffs
Also they graduated a lot of their starting players and won't have a senior dominated team next year

Belpre will not win the TVC this year. Nelsonville York is going to take that title back this year.
