There is still a lot of baseball to be played, but Warren and Portsmouth at the bottom of both divisions. I never would have guessed that!! When was the last time a Warren team started 0-2 in league play?

Warren started 0-2 coupe of years ago when they shared the SEOAL title with GAHS. Believe they won 8 in a row after that start.

Zanesville topped Marietta 1-0 in a fairly sloppy game. Not much hitting and a lot of base running errors held both teams back. Sets up a big finish to the week for ZV with Athens coming to town on Wednesday and heading to Warren Local Friday night. Zanesville now sits at 9-0(4-0) in the young season. Good Luck the rest of the way.

ATHENS Varsity Softball also WON...

Varsity Guys collect (19)HITS...that's a good night...
Junior Varsity collects (12)HITS...also a good night...

Varsity puts up a Very Nice 15 spot...
Junior Varsity adds a 13 spot...

Senior Mitch Crabtree gets a nice WIN...
Freshman Dean Maffin collects his 2nd WIN also K-ing 13 on the night. (also hit 3 Doubles)

Yes, Zanesville 10, Athens 0 (6 inn.) is correct

Athens only had four hits and committed some errors which hurt
