What: Kings Island season opening
Where: Exit 24 off Interstate 71
When: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today; preview weekends continue April 26-27, May 2-4, 9-11, 16-18. Daily operations begin May 23.
Cost: $49.95 ages 3 to 61; $29.99 ages 3 and younger or less than 48 inches tall, and ages 62 and older

I quit going a while back. The price is way to high even though I can afford it I choose not to go.

One season because I had the means to I bought five season passes for my brother, his son, my tw kids and of course myself. I believe it cost 200.00.

I go on GE day with my Stepdaughter. She has worked there since she was a Jr in college at Shawnee State. She gets our tickets for 20.00 I believe.

I haven't been in a few years, but I didn't realize prices were that high. 50 bucks just seems a little steep to me for Kings Island. Although, I'm not a big amusement park enthusiast, so perhaps that is the going rate now.

I also believe that article is incorrect. Cedar Fair owns Kings Island now and there is no way they are charging over what they charge at their flagship Cedar Point. If so, I'd buy the $29.99 tickets online.
