Have Minford and Burg played against each other at any shootouts this year? If so, what was the outcome?

bbfan83, when is this girl from Kentucky coming to Burg? Haven't seen her play anywhere with them so far this summer.
Re: MINFORD 08-09
BurgMom- haha, keep telling yourself that, but it still won't happen.
Not by Burg anyway, the only teams that have the talent to "beat"
Minford this year, will be Oak Hill, and South Webster will be a good game,
because of Kayla. We all know this, so just give it up!!!

The information that I am getting is she playing with her travel aau team. They are going to Orlando to play in the D-1 National tournament. My guess is the family will not complete the move until August.

Re: MINFORD 08-09
Hey bballfan you tell us Burg is getting a girl from the south and now you say she is from Kentucky, the only thing Kentucky is south of is us. don't you know that from Columbus,Ohio to the Georgia state line is hill country. We are all from the hills, and Burgmom is a "REDNECK" for sure. Minford has played against a lot of talented Ky. girls in the Boyd County tournament the past few years, teams from around Maysville, Lexington and other areas.I know it is early and we are all getting excited but I think we need to wait awhile before we start picking SOC player of the year or even who will be the team who comes out on top. Next Level your post on the Point guard was right on the mark, a good pg sets her team up and is the player maker, she really looks bad if all she thinks about is shooting a 3 or trys to dribble past nine other player and ends up losing the ball. Teamwork is the only thing that wins ballgames.

Re: MINFORD 08-09
ive seen her make too many mid range jumpers and 3's on reversals and skip passes not to keep her involved. she is way too good to just bring the ball up the floor and start the offense.

Re: MINFORD 08-09
That is what makes her a good point guard on her way to being a great point guard, she can hit all the shots, and yet she still involves her teammates. Great point guards do not need to have the offense ran for them, it runs through them and they take over when there team needs it, colleges would rather have a point guard who avgs double point and double assists, and has a low t/o ratio. They know that in high school, the player with the ball all the time can dominate the scoring, but do the dominate all aspects on the offense side? And Justice can play some D, she can get alot of steals..like it was said before, "it should be interesting"

Re: MINFORD 08-09
Minford has several of players that are very talented shooters. They have lots of talent period. They are all too good for any player not to be involved in the offense and score. The most important thing in any offense is that each player tries to take the best shot available. But I have seen most games this summer, and I'm still confused as to why anyone thinks anyone is being ignored. I've seen Justice take great shots when she's open and she does a great job. This is a team..we should concentrate on that.

Q101 I don't think there will be anything weak about this team in any position.I think what made Justice good last year was her team play,it was great watching a team work together, personally I was tired of watching a one-man show the previous years. Our boy's team was the most exciting to watch last year because of the fantastic passing and team work. I hope we can see that from the girls.

bus, i said get the ball on a reverse to the weak side for an open jumper, not that your team was weak. your team should be pretty good from what i hear. please keep up.

Re: MINFORD 08-09
Next Level, I agree, Minford is very talented, I was just make a point in ref to one, I believe that the team is the overall goal, and Kendra is all for the team as the other girls are also...I do not mean to be coming across as focus on one player, I just get tired of people bashing our team and promoting another girl in the area, when there are truly alot of talented girls in the our region....I think Minford will do very well, I think that could have a shot to win it all, as a team effort...
