Man, I bet that was a heckuva game!! Anyone have any details? bman, I know you're out there somewhere... 8) I'm assuming you were at this one, so I'm looking forward to your recap.open_post wrote:Bloom beat Logan Elm by 4 in overtime...

1 2 3 4 OT Total
Logan Elm 13 5 10 16 4 48
Bloom-Carroll 9 17 11 7 8 52
I was actually at the Circleville-Amanda game. But Pritchard had 20, Young 12 and Riffle 11 for LE and Ireland had 24, McGlone 13 and James 10 for Carroll.
LE was up 48-47 with about 30 seconds left in overtime and Ireland hit a big three to put Carroll ahead. Ireland then got a steal and layup to seal it from what I was told.
Gym was absolutely packed from what I was told and just a good back-and-forth game Carroll got in the end.
As for my game, Amanda is playing well right now and Circleville was off its game. Amanda seems to be putting it all together, good defense, rebounding was better than first game against Circleville and the inside game was good on offense, but they are did some inside-out and penetration to the basket to score. Good all-around game by Amanda. Circleville is in a tough stretch with going to LE on Tuesday and hosting Carroll on Saturday.

must have been a great 4th qtr and ot as LE fought thier way back into it after that bad 2nd qtr
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
This was a great basketball game and players from both teams hit big shots in overtime. Young from Logan Elm hit a three with under a minute to play to cut the Bloom lead to 1. McGlone BC then misses the front end of a one and one. Young LE hits a runner in the lane to give LE one point lead. Then Ireland (BC) 24 points hits a big time contested 3 with around 20 secs left to give BC a two point lead. Ireland then stole the ball on a pass that would have given Young a chance to win the game and makes a layup at the buzzer to make the final margin 4.
Pritchard LE is starting to play well which bodes well for LE with the tournament right around the corner.
Bloom moves to 18-0 with the win.

Thanks for the info, openpost. Sounds like Pritchard had a huge game, and if he can continue to play like that it will make LE one of the tougher teams in the district.

Notre Dame over Eastern Pike 49-47 last night, I think they deserve to be at the top of that Tree-Hugger List with a 16-2 (12-1) record.
