Wow...should have taken the jealous excuse when it was offered. Now all that's left is poor sportsmanship, lack of class, or low self-esteem.

They should win. New Boston (along with West and Clay) have VERY young and inexperienced teams this year. While they have some spots that shine, the overall team play is down for these reasons. St. Joe should pick up another win without a lot of trouble.

Good luck to both teams. Keep it injury free!

Michael Salisbury and Steven Russell scored to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. Payton Blair scored before the half for a 2-1 advantage to New Boston at the break.

The Tigers started with a defensive stance in the second half and it cost them early. Ian Simpson scored in side the first four minutes of the second half to tie the game. He also scored the winning goal on a close attempt with just over five minutes remaining.

New Boston had several opportunities in the final minutes including a loose ball five feet in front of the net with goalie down but the Tiger slipped getting to the ball and the Flyers escaped with the win.

It was nice to see the Flyers playing better then the previous two times I had watched them this season--better energy, though ball control and strategy could both use some work yet.

I like some of the changes that Coach Estep has made to the Tigers' line-up. It was a little more offensive minded set up. Overall, New Boston is also playing better but the lack of subs (only 14 total on the team) caught up with them in the second half. This season, it seems that they are usually in most games at half time. They have a chance against Northwest tomorrow--I would rate Northwest about even--but with it being their third game in three days, will the Tigers have the legs to finish this one?

I gave some pictures to Mrs. Schwab. She volunteered to sort and pass them out--I assume at the next game. :)

Good job by the Flyers. I also hear Coach Blair injured a leg at practice the other night. Very sorry to hear that, condolences and best wishes from all of us here at SEOPs.

Flyers are 10-0. I believe the final score against Ports Clay was 6-1.

Good job Flyers! Keep up the hard work and great effort on the field. Coming from someone who knew very little about soccer 6 weeks ago I have grown to really enjoy these games!

The Flyers were down 1-0 at the half and the St Joseph coaching staff made a couple of changes on offense and the Flyers came out like a scoring machine in the second half. The scoring was done by Senior Chad Harvey, Freshman Mike Pina and Sophmore Payton Blair. I hope I didn't miss anyone. The defense also picked it up in the second half with George McCown, Caleb Blackburn, Anthony Whaley, Joey Basedow, Sunni Clyse, Ian Hopkins, Katie Schwab, Dylan Kline and Cody Blackburn all contributing to the win. Joe "The Shoe" Unger had numerous saves in goal for the Flyers. All in all a very good team effort. Congrats to the Flyers and the coaches and before I forget, Get well soon Dan.

Pleasant Flyer, I see TJ and Tanner are learning the ropes in this game. They get some experience and they will do nothing but add to the team's depth. Both of these young men are very good athletes. Do you have a team picture?

Thanks for the support of St. Joseph Soccer. Just a note, it is Levi Hopkins and Ian Simpson. Dylan Klein doesn't play, several confuse Ian and Dylan. You have the scoring correct with 2 goals each. Hopefully Pat Gagai, out with ankle injury, will be back at defense on Wed. against Valley. We took a team picture last night.

I knew I shouldn't have tried all of those names without a roster. My apologies to all who's name I got wrong. There are some names I missed too so I hope I can get a roster and maybe a team picture to post on SEOPS. Also I saw Pat Gagai yesterday before the game and he didn't say anything about not playing last night. Get well soon Patrick. Miss seeing you out there.

Congrats to St. Joe! C'Mon RRR, Levi is my favorite official on Saturdays. All kidding aside, those young men and women do a great job on Saturdays for the younger kids.
