The Oaks have a very good chance to win the SOC this year and make a good tourney run

The Oaks advanced to the regional finals last season, and return virtually everyone from that team. There's no reason to believe that they won't do just as well, and I think it is very possible to see this team in the Final 4 in 2008-09. They are my preseason favorite to win the SOC II.

No new faces Captain. The Oaks lost a few Seniors who provided good leadership but did not see much playing time. Allot of excitement surrounds this returning group. It should be a fun year for all of Oak Hill next year!

I'm curious whether he might end up staying at Oak Hill. Last I was told, he's still enrolled there. Granted, if he wants to go to Wellston or wherever, that's his business. Hasn't he been through three different schools in as many years?
As for how Oak Hill goes, I'd project them as one of the top high school hoops teams in Southern Ohio. Returning all the starters from last year, this will probably be one of Norm's best chances to finally make it to the BIG dance.
Re: Oak Hill 08-09
I would say Love being enrolled in Oak Hill doesn't mean much. He was enrolled in Oak Hill during basketball season and yet he practiced with Wellston.

Oak Hill will most likely win the SOC next year. And, I think they will be making a trip to "The Schott".

Oak Hill has a great coach and players. The Oaks should win the SOC next year. WB should be down a little but I would not count a team coached by Barrick out. Minford should be decent. Others??? I don't have a clue.

Wow, that's a pretty bold statement. I hope, for Wellston's sake, it isn't true. But then again they've had their share of "outside influences" over the years and he'd get them some wins.
Oak Hill made it to the regional semi-finals and returns the same players from the previous year. With or without Love is inconsequential, they made a hellava tourney run without him. Oh, and by the way, they got a Coach who has complied over 500 HS wins and has a tremendous influence over college recruits via his connections.
Love them or hate them, they are what they are and Oak Hill's best chance for a SOC title, and a VERY deep tourney run is approaching.
Hey, Smales.....everyone knows that the OHSAA is a really big pink elephant that doesn't like problems and tends to stick its nose in the corner.
